So I picked 5 random Facebook people and started a Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign to see if I could learn how to teach people to play DND. It has gone so well that I want to continue on after I finish Lost Mine. I am looking for a campaign that will start from level 5 and can easily go from Phandalin. I am currently playing in an Icewind Dale campaign so I do not want to do that one. I also do not want to do Curse of Strahd. I have done that before as a player and would prefer a world in the world of Forgotten Realms. I have seen some suggestions on the forums and Reddit but I would like to hear from someone who has done this and which adventure so I may get a better feel of what will work best for me.
Those are probably your best options. DoIP is supposed to be from level 1 to 6 but there is a conversion called A Tale of Two Dragons to turns up the difficulty so that it can be played after as well. The others are technically sequels de DoIP, but since it is in the same area and level range as LMoP they should work for that as well.

I've had my main group travel to Waterdeep after defeating the Black Spider to go through Dungeon of the Mad Mage and it's been going reasonably well so far.
I've heard several times that Storm King's Thunder is good to transition to after Lost Mine.
Someone at my local hobby shop suggested Tomb of Annihilation and Descent into Avernus, and that you can skip the first five levels for either adventure.
I haven't actually read through DiA, SKT, or ToA, though I understand that ToA has a decent amount of survival elements if your group likes that sort of thing. If your group prefers a long dungeon crawl, I'd suggest DotMM but it can be tricky to tie it into LMoP. I plan to have the Black Spider return at some point as my players didn't kill him, just sent him to prison.
Thanks for the advice. I am leaning toward storm king's thunder. I have looked at tomb and it doesn't interest me but the DoMM looks interesting too. do you spend the whole time in the dungeon?

I ran a few travel sessions while the party made their way to Waterdeep, but yes, the entire adventure in DotMM pretty much takes place in Undermountain (the dungeon). The entrance to Undermountain is in a tavern so the party is able to return to rest/talk to NPCs, and there a a couple of quests that said NPCs can have the party complete, but the quests pretty much just serve to provide a reason for the party to go into the dungeon.
I have Dm'ed the Lost Mine of Phandalin campaign, but because of that tome with the map sewn on the cover, I think you have to make your own. If you have the advanced rules like the Dungeon Master's Guide, It'll include detail on not only on how to run campaigns, but how to make your own as well, including pre-made maps!

Look into Dragons of Icespire Peak.
Also, the Storm Lord's Wrath, Sleeping Dragon's Wake, and Divine Contention series.

Dungeon of the Mad Mage starts at level 5 I think.
I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).
Spelljammer starts at level 5.

I’d go w/ Metamongoose’s suggestions
As those are the literal sequels to DoIP
