Hiya fellow GM/DMs! My party of 6th lvl "heroes" attained an old guild hall in a medium-sized city and I want to have a rival guild test their mettle! Any leads or suggestions on these types of sessions?? Thanks in advance!
in My next campaign, the party will have rivals. The rivals are a team of folks *exactly like the PCs*, just more annoying and bullying. I crib from the PC sheets to make them. They show up and they compete for the same jobs and all of that, but they are always not as good as the PCs except for when the PCs really screw up.
Now, I mention that because the idea is you have that other guild be made up of people an awful lot like the PCs, but you also give them a lot of followers. ou make them better liked in town, you have them do a whisper campaign against he PCs, you have them interfere with supply runs, stuff like that.
I can’t give you more because I am in the midst of development and my guilds are likely very different from yours.

Half your players get to play the PC's, half get to play new characters with sheets your draft up about a level or two above your PC's
Winner gets to make the losers do a fetch. (if they lose the PC's get a fetch quest, if they win the NPC's will go fetch and bring back a treasure for the PC's.)
Nobody'll outsmart your players better than your players.

I'd turn it into a scrimmage of sorts.

Are there modules or the like, out there already focusing on the PCs defending a structure from attack?
