In my new dnd campaign (we have had I think 5 sessions) my 3 players are currently at one of the players dead grandmas house and some goblins snuck into the house and knocked out 2 of the players, the other one is locked in a puzzle room. Was this a good idea to do this and what should I do next if the third player gets knocked out too?
See what happens as it resolves. Does the remaining one get out of the puzzle room? Why are the goblins knocking people out instead of killing them? That alone leads to more story. "You all awaken and find yourselves..." (wherever the goblins took them).
Also, how long are the others unconscious? Maybe they wake up in time to change the flow?
Switching to a new area feels early on this. Talk with the players to see what their vibe is!
