Just wanted to see the opinions of the other people on here. I think that DND Beyond is great and makes things easy, but it limits my ability to go off the cuff and homebrew as a DM. I want to give my players the experience they deserve and for the years I've used this website and it's corresponding software, I'm starting to think that other options might be out there that let me create weapons and armors that aren't magical. Just wanted some opinions, thanks
Knowing software development -- it will be done when there are no higher priority features to work on, and given that it's non-core functionality with a generally functional workaround, that translates to "never".
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Whenever you're creating a magic item, before selecting any specific properties, just hit the 'Create From Scratch' button to customize it. And don't worry too much about the example items section. Extra dice exmp: Attack: 18 Damage: 6
Why not just add a customizable item to the inventory. You can put anything as ghe name and descrbe what it looks like/does in the notes box. Even give it weight and value. Yeah, you'd have to make one for each plaer individually instead of having it be in the searchable dropdown for everhone, but that's not such a big deal.

The core thing is... you can create a common magical item, and that will be 'close enough' 99% of the time.
