Suppose you have a group of 4-6 enemies of the same type (e.g. skeletons). There's a rule regarding "Damage against Multiple Targets":
When you create a damaging effect that forces two or more targets to make saving throws against it at the same time, roll the damage once for all the targets. For example, when a wizard casts Fireball, the spell’s damage is rolled once for all creatures caught in the blast.
But I'm wondering if, as DM, you would also make a single saving throw for the group, depending on the size of that same group of enemies?
I’d stick with individual saves. Doing them all with one roll makes things very swingy as either everyone saves or no one does. The spell will either be stronger or weaker than intended.

I wouldn't, unless they're low enough power that they're not likely to make much of an effect on combat regardless.
What I would do is proportional saving throws. Five enemies, who need to roll a 13 to save? Two do, three don't. Any odd ones out get rolled normally.

This might be a nice feature for maps/the encounter manager -- roll saves for a group of critters.
