I'm going to be honest; the Feywild kind of scares me as it is much more complex and harder to understand than the regular mortal plane. I'm looking for advice on creating an Archfey, and her city. I have a player whose backstory has to do with the Feywild. To be brief he woke up in the Feywild one day, and little did he know that an Archfey was spying on him this whole time. He eventually escapes, and returns to the mortal plane.
Since then he has been adventuring, and the players might have accidentally let out an ancient dragon on the world. They feel to blame and he is seeking a warlock multi-class as he is willing to do anything to get the power to defeat the dragon.
Now they are going to return to the Fey, and meet this Archfey, face-to-face for the first time, and have her be his patron for his warlock multi-class. He will find out, that she has been meddling in his life, and his purpose is to merge the mortal plane and the Feywild. This is where I would like some help in creating an Archfey and the city that she rules.
I have a similar thing going for one of my players in the campaign I am DM'img***WALL OF TEXT IN COMING ALERT***: Back story for my PC ranger is that he was saved by an Archfey to save a city on the mortal plane, that she uses to send her agent out into the world to get information on people and events(the pc does not know this) she is more an information broker and of course likes to mettle in mortal matters for fun and knock prideful mortal down a peg or two( think Q from Star Trek: TNG if you have seen that show).
Court of Twilight rules by Queen Serginia of Twilight, Veiled in Mist and Shadows, Holder of the Jewel of Orion( basic idea is to make a big pompous name and title here)
Her power comes from not military or overt magic might, she is still powerful she is a an archfey after all, but the favors/secrets she can call in or spread to make even the mightiest kingdom fall to ruin with a single word. She gets this information from her many agents/warlock all over the multiverse.
She is always willing to help people/adventures with talent but she will always ask for a favor in return at a time and place of her choosing( you can insert evil pyramid hands here as needed)
As for Feywild cities you can just take a city you already have made or your pc's have not seen let and make it more strange and wild. An example is the homes are all wood but they are formed from trees/bushes that just grew into homes and are still living plants. The streets are let by small lamps with weird colored lights given off by fireflies stuff like that. Some good examples are the elven cities in Lord of the Rings for some ideas
Hope this give you some ideas
