DM-ing Dragon Heist with a mixed group of players, new and seasoned DnDers (thanks to the person who suggested Dragon Heist btw), and thinking on how to make sure there's plenty of flavor options for how folks spend their time in the game! The main storyline has a good arc to it, and the factions all have their quests of course, but I don't want to be unprepared if my players decide to up and do something else like explore the sewers or go to the suburbs to help deal with something in farm-country.
If folks have suggestions for (free, preferred) resources for one-shot side quests in an urban or suburban setting that'd be swell. The Riddle Murderer is a good one for example that one of you made; I haven't bought it but Sewers of the Rat King may be pretty good too. Stuff around the docks, or errands for nobles, and since Yawning Portal opens into the first level of Undermountain I want to be prepared too for the players to want to go down and explore that a little bit. Anything is welcome!
Worst case, I can just concoct some basic encounters using the DM Guide and have those handy, maybe loosely inspired from Elder Scrolls and games like Red Dead :P
Also, since we're all distancing, how or where do I get pdfs of maps that I can share or show to players? We might have to theater of the mind this whole thing but I think it'd be a little helpful if they saw layouts.
