So I am homebrewing a Half-Oni because one of my players got wild. Currently I have most the details worked out however I tried creating the 3 “subraces” for this and was met with the “parent race” of Half-Oni being buried in the 3 options of “subraces” that are spread across all the other races instead of under a Half-Oni tab. I find it mildly inefficient to have them all say the same thing until the end were they coincide as minor differences. As Tieflings are with their 2 base races and 10 variants or Aasimar are with 3 Subraces and 1 variant. Can anyone either direct me to threads that can solve this issue or possible give me a play by play to do such?
The way to do with homebrew races is name them all starting with the parent race name, e.g. "Half-Oni: Blue", "Half-Oni: Red", etc. They will still be "separate" races but at least grouped together.
