I'm a big fan of genshin impact (like, grinding for hours to get half a primo from chests.) I wanted to incorporate them into my campaign. I’m not sure what bonuses and spells it would give the user though. Any ideas?
To me, a vision would come in different types, each one associated with an element. The element should match an existing D&D damage type. Fire, Cold(Ice), Bludgeoning(Geo), Electric, etc.
Once attuned, and visibly worn, with a limitation that only one Vision may be attuned at one time, it would grant the wearer access to spells or abilities matching or related to each type. You could give each vision the ability to cast a 1) Low level spell or effect(relates to a Skill in GI) with multiple uses per long rest, and 2) A higher powered spell (representing the Burst in GI) that can be used once per long rest. The spells or abilities should be reasonable and aligned to each element, taking cues from GI. Geo, for example may provide a protective spell and an offensive spell that does bludgeoning damage. Fire could be all offensive and convert all weapon damage to fire type. Water may provide healing. Try to use existing spells or effects in D&D that align to Talents you like in GI.
You could consider making these usable only by Artificers as well.
I would have each vision be an attuned item just like the previous reply stated, however I would set the item effects up like this
Extra 1d4/1d6/1d8/1d10 damage of that visions element to melee attacks(martial types)
Change a spells damage type based on the visions type (for example poison/acid/bludgeoning for geo)(caster types)
1 weak special attack or ability(1st or 2nd level in equivalence)(proficiency times per short rest)(1 action/bonus action)
1 strong special attack or ability(3rd to 5th level in equivalence)(once or twice per long rest)(1 action)
+1 or +2 to an ability score of your choice(to fit characters flavor)(based on rarity of item)
If I was going to use this in my game I would make it an item that characters receive as a boon from a deity or other worldly power for playing into their character trait and flaws since that would conform to how people get them in GI. I believe making the item this way makes it worth giving up that attunement slot for most characters. One thing to consider also, is that genshin's elemental skills and abilities all do damage and often have a second effect, so I would give them a lower damage if your going to give them a secondary effect. for example if you wanted to give a vision ninguang's elemental skill that puts up a wall and boosts the geo damage she does I would do it like this.
- As a bonus action you errect a wall 10 feet long and 5 feet tall in a space you can see within 30 feet, the center of which is made of shimmering earth energy. If the space is occupied by a creature, that creature takes 1d8 bludgeoning damage and is moved to an unoccupied space within 5 feet. The wall last until the end of your next turn, and creatures within 5 feet of the wall take 1d4 additional bludgeoning damage when you hit them with a weapon attack or a spell attack.
This would grant you the damage bonus from her elemental skill as well as the damage it does when you place it near an enemy. This is just my suggestion on how to tackle this as an item though. hope i was able to help at least a little bit.

I also play GI.

Just some thoughts. :)
