I suggest requiring an INT (Thief's Tools) check to disarm a trap, inbstead of DEX (Thief's Tools). It doesn't matter how steady your hands are if you don't know whether to cut the blue wire or the red wire.
In 3.5 I enjoyed the Int based rogue for the all the skill points.
For my money I think giving additional proficiencies and languages for Int bonuses and probably things like using the ability to use Int for a few other things like Initiative or certain skill checks would go a long way.
