I was wondering if there is a way to allow players to select which stat they want to use as their spellcasting stat for their Race. An example being, say you picked a tiefling with innate spells, by default the standard tiefling has the Thaumaturgy, Hellish Rebuke and Darkness spells. Hellish Rebuke is a spell that requires a Dexterity Saving throw, which means it has a spell save DC which uses a base stat. By default, Tiefling use Charisma as this stat. Is there a way in which to give the player a drop down to choose which stat this is, for example if a homebrew variant of the default tiefling was made.

For the record i can just ask the player what they want and set it on the spells that are tied to the race, but it would a nice QoL thing to do, especially if multiple players wanted to play the race but use different spellcasting stats.
It's certainly possible, in fact the recently-added Fairy race from Wild Beyond the Witchlight has that ability.
What you wind up needing to do is make a homebrew copy of the particular Race, and in the Trait that grants the innate spellcasting, add 3 Options - "Intelligence", "Wisdom", "Charisma". Then within each option, add the spells the same way they're done in the main Trait (but with the spellcasting ability changed as applicable.) Then once you've done that, you can remove the original spells from the Trait, leaving them just within the Options. Then the player will have a dropdown in the Character Builder, in the Trait for the Race, to select the ability score to use.
(Usual caveat to hit [Save Changes] on the main edit page for the homebrew, and that it can take up to 20 minutes for homebrew changes to percolate to character sheets.)
