In the early 90s, my fabled D&D group created a series of spells that need to be in your arsenal. They have been updated to comply with 5e rules.
Locate Hand - Divination, Level 1, Wizard. Imbues caster with the ability to find most any extremity, even in total darkness.
Bigby's Insulting Hand - Invocation, Level 2, Wizard - You create a Large hand of shimmering, translucent force in an unoccupied space that you can see within range. The hand lasts for the spell’s duration, and it moves at your command, extending the middle finger of the hand towards your enemies, for added insult. At higher levels - When using spells slots beyond 4th level you can issue a "double boner", effectively doubling the effect of the spell, amount of hit points, and number of middle fingers extended to two.
Alter (Perception of) Self - Transmutation, Level 1, Wizard - You think you assume a different form. The caster is able to pretend to be any of a number of creatures known by the caster. Want to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex? Just fold your arms up so your hands appear to protrude from your chest, and roar a lot. Long to be a crocodile? Just jump in a nearby stream and thrash about wildly. *Warning* Thinking you are a bird does not allow caster to fly.
Blindness (Self) - Necromancy, Level 1, Wizard - Caster tightly closes eyes and places hands over them, just to be sure.
Feign Invisibility - Illusion, Level 2, Wizard - Target of spells prowls around, pretending to be unseen. Avoiding eye contact with the people you are hiding from grants a +1 to stealth rolls.
Hold Self - Enchantment, Level 0, Cantrip - Choose a humanoid that you can see within range. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or wrap themselves in a loving embrace for the duration. At the end of each of its turns, the target can make another Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the target realizes that they are hugging themselves for no apparent reason.
Lesser Stinking Cloud - Conjuration, Level 1, - Use your imagination....
Tragdor's Holy Nut Crusher (Very specific to a player of mine who played a dragonborn paladin with an inner goddess. He's a character.): 2nd level evocation, can only be used by Divine Casters
The caster asks the target if they would like crushed nuts. If they say no, they get to make a CON saving throw. If they say yes, they automatically fail the save. Upon a failed save, the target takes 3d6 + spell casting modifier damage as a nutcracker made of Holy Light appears and promptly... Well, you can guess the rest.
Skyle's Recall: Wizard 5th level, Conjuration. Casting Time: 1 hour. Components: V, S, M. When cast upon an object weighing no more than ten pounds, the object will appear before the caster exactly 28 days after the spell is cast. The spell will chime a two-minute warning in the caster's mind. As long as the object is on the same plane of existence and intact, the object will arrive intact. The component necessary to complete the spell include one pound of pure rubber extract and 100 gp of oils to make the rubber into bands that are applied to the object before the spell is completed.
A player of mine came up with this spell and would cast it on a spare Bag of Holding that would be left somewhere adventurers would find it. One month later he'd get the Bag of Holding back and usually it was full of that adventuring party's loot.
