I am stuck, presently, on the list of things that flowers mean and can be used in. These are one word terms -- so, for example, Nasturtium is useful in Conjuration, has meanings of Patriotism, Victory, and Glory. My list does not have every flower on it, and does not match (nor need to match) current forms of flower language. What I traditionally call what I am looking for is "associations" -- things that the flower can be a metaphor for and so forth.
As you will see, I have several already in place, and will ultimately clean much of it up to make duplicates less prominent, but I figure since I do this kind of thing norally, I would hop in here and ask instead of my player group so there are some surprises for them (unless the few on here see it, lol).
I will note that I have cooking spices and herbs in a different but similar set up, and that I have already created one for gemstones. One of my goals is to make these useful for player use in the game, in a host of ways (including magic). Lastly, I should note that any of these follow historic aspects of the game world, which is not like earth, so there need not be a lot of "well, on earth this means this" -- it can just be what sounds good. Can't promise I will use suggestions, but I will read them all and see what I can do.

Ugh, where was this list two years ago when I was playing a druid who used flowers to cast spells??
My druid used marigolds when she would cast Mending because marigolds were/are used in alternative medicine for healing/restoration due to their anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
Edit: Added. Oddly enough, the impetus for this is a 22 year old pre-med student who plans to play a Ranger (who fill a combination of Ranger and Druid roles) that is focused on flowers, spices and herbs, and animals in her actions and magic. She has a VERY strong sense of what she wants, lol.
I mean I gave these rangers the ability to craft weapons from natural materials *on the fly* as part of their class features. So she picks up a stick and makes it a sword. Pebbles become dangerous in her hands, lol.
