After the release of Monsters of the Multiverse, I wanted to write a new version of the Reincarnate to account for all of the races in that book as well as those listed in the base PHB. I am sure I am not the first person to do this, but let me know what you think. Outside of reworking the table, I have outlined a few of the other changes I made in red. Let me know what you think. If it gets positive feedback, and I can get some help fine tuning it, I may try to add a version to the homebrew tool on D&D Beyond
Mordenkainen’s Reincarnate
5th-level Transmutation(Druid, Wizard)
Casting Time: 1 hour
Range: Touch
Components: V,S,M(Rare oils and unguents worth at least 1,000 gp, which the spell consumes)
Duration: Instantaneous
You touch a dead humanoid (or fey) or a piece of such a creature. Provided that the creature has been dead no longer than 10 days, the spell forms a new adult body for it and then calls the soul to enter that body. If the target’s soul isn’t free or willing to do so, the spell fails.
The magic fashions a new body for the creature to inhabit, which likely causes the creature’s race to change. The DM rolls a d100 and consults the following table to determine what form the creature takes when restored to life, or the DM chooses a form. If the race has a subrace or variant option, the DM selects which is appropriate for the new body.

Human (see description below)
If a “100” is rolled, the creature becomes a Human and gains any three feats of the DMs choice. To be a valid choice, the feats must not provide any bonus to ability scores and must lack prerequisites.
The reincarnated creature recalls its former life and experiences. It retains the capabilities it had in its original form, although it loses any of the traits associated with its original race and gains those of the new one. The creature’s ability score increases, languages, and proficiencies are retained from the original race, and any such traits for the new race do not alter them in any way.

As a seperate note, as long as I am doing homebrew tables I am also tempted to write a handful of seperate "reincarnate" spells, sorted by similar themes. For example Osybus's Reincarnate might be a necromancy spell instead of transmutation and allow for the creature to be raised as a Hexblood, Dhampir, or Reborn. Fizban's Reincarnate might gurantee that you become a dragonborn, but have a randomly chosen chromatic/metallic/gem lineage. Oberon's Reincarnate might specifically be built around Fey ancestries (like Elves, Half Elves, Fairies, etc), and so on and so forth.
This could also allow for class spell list variation (where different versions of the Reincarnate spell are available to different classes). For example, Fizban's would probably be tied to Sorcerers (due to their draconic bloodline), Osybus's to Warlocks, and so on.
Thoughts on this idea?

Why does the 100 give you three free feats? I would think the "lucky/good" roll would allow you to return to whatever species you were upon death, instead of forcing human as well. Just my two cents, though.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?

In this version of reincarnate, since the new species does not affect your ASIs or proficiencies getting Human really doesnt give you much. Even normal variant Human could feel underwhelming compared to most of the other races. While three feats might be overtuned, I think having them get a few feats will help the Human option for this feel more exciting. Plus, since its a 1/100 chance on a 5th level spell you likely wont be using all the time, I dont see an issue with it being a bit of a beefy bonus.
Not to mention, theres already like a 3% chance youll end up playing the same base race you died at (assuming you are already playing one of the listed ones) so changing the "100" option as you suggested would only raise that to a 4% chance, which in my opinion is not very exciting.

Why not let them chose any race for a 100 (if you have been already reincarnated once and you roll a 100 and you would go back to being a bugbear for VanZoeren, but if you can chose any race you can go back to your OG race)
