The idea of using invocations to modify cantrips to make them more palatable for a class that will often have to rely on them is great, but only giving them to Eldritch Blast is just cheering on the guy that's already winning.
I think warlocks would be a lot less pigeonholed into eldritch blasting if there was more variety in this department. You could go basic and just give other cantrips their own Agonizing Blast, but I think it'd be fun to give specific cantrips more creative mods.
Make Chill Touch into an actual touch range spell, and then beef it's damage a bit to make up for the lost range.
Let Toll The Dead "reverb" and hit another enemy nearby if it lands the killing blow.
Make one big Magic Stone that's less accurate but more damaging.
When the effect of Friends ends, let you shift the blame to someone else.

I like this idea a lot, even if it's only limited to just the example cantrips you listed. This kind of reminds me of something in the game Marvel Snap, where they introduced the High Evolutionary card whose main feature is that, if he's in your deck, all the cards that originally did not have any powers now gained a new, unique power thanks to him.
Of the examples you listed... I think the Chill Touch concept is interesting, but only if it's an optional change each time you cast it and doesn't just change it into a completely different cantrip. Toll the Dead seems cool, but the fact that it only triggers on killing an opponent makes it kinda... weak. Although Toll the Dead is already a really good cantrip, so it doesn't need much juicing. I wouldn't say that Magic Stone needs to be less accurate... I think swapping from multiple stones that can be thrown by NPCs or other players for a single stone that just deals more damage is enough of a tactical tradeoff.
The Friends concept, though, is way too good. Friends is kind of a clunky spell in the first place, but having a free feature that allows you to make any two NPCs get into a fight at zero resource cost and with no saving throw makes it like... a 4th level spell, at minimum.
