I believe I've fixed the majority of the issues with this subclass- yes, it does eat Ki, like most Monk subclasses. Short rests exist for a reason, and you could give Monks an extra long rest Ki pool corresponding to PB or WIS modifier, whatever floats your boat.
Way of Rhythm Monk Subclass 5e
Everything in motion generates its own rhythm. Living creatures make music with their heartbeats, plants pulse in time with the cycle of the sun, and machines hum quietly or cry clamorously. Often having a background as an Entertainer, the Monk who follows the Way of Rhythm has learned to harness these melodies as an analyst and an artist.
Dynamic Expression
At 3rd level, you’ve learned how to utilize your intuitive understanding of others in your interactions with them, allowing you to communicate more elegantly and effectively in a variety of ways. You gain any two of the following skill or tool proficiencies: Acrobatics, Athletics, Deception, Intimidation, Performance, Persuasion, Sleight of Hand, or an instrument tool proficiency.
Artist’s Arsenal
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with whips, which are considered Monk Weapons for you. The whips that you acquire are often uncommonly elegant, resembling ribbons of a rhythmic gymnast.
Magic in Motion
At 3rd level, your mastery of even the most subtle movement becomes irresistible. You learn the Friends cantrip. In addition, you can spend 2 Ki points to cast Calm Emotions, Compelled Duel, Enthrall, or Kinetic Jaunt. If your movement speed is reduced to 0, any spell cast via this feature automatically ends (standard concentration mechanics also apply). Use your Ki save DC as your Spell save DC.
Defensive Dance
At 6th level, you’ve honed your ability to dance between the attacks of your foes rather than being struck by them. When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction and expend 1 Ki point to gain a +2 bonus to your AC until the start of your next turn.
Elegant Recovery
At 6th level, you’ve learned to swiftly Leap to Your Feet. When you're prone, you can stand up by spending 5 feet of movement, rather than half your speed, as if hitting the ground and leaping up again was part of your act all along.
Refined Routine
At 11th level, you learn how to harmonize both offense and defense as part of your Flurry of Blows. Whenever you use Flurry of Blows, you gain a +1 to your AC until the start of your next turn (this bonus can stack with your Defensive Dance feature).
Also at 11th level, you can cast each of the leveled spells from your Magic in Motion feature once each without expending Ki points, and you regain the ability to do so when you complete a long rest. If your movement speed is reduced to 0, any spell cast via this feature automatically ends (standard concentration mechanics also apply). Use your Ki save DC as your Spell save DC.
Martial Rhythm
Starting at 17th level, when you use your Flurry of Blows, you can make two additional attacks with it (up to a total of four Flurry of Blows attacks), and the AC bonus you gained from Refined Routine feature increases to +2 rather than +1 (this bonus can still stack with your Defensive Dance feature).
