I've been playing with and building out a Clockwork Player Race. I like it but I've been looking for ways to make it more interesting. In Mordenkainen's, there are a few new clockwork that use the Enhancements and Malfunctions table to add some character. It's a great idea for monsters but I can't tell if it's balanced for players. The Enhancements seem fine, but the Malfunctions seem super annoying to play a long term campaign with.
Anyone have thoughts about playing with these Enhancements and Malfunctions?
Alright, I have some thoughts about this but I'm not sure if I can use them. One, for example, is to make it so that when a clockwork dies, they remain alive but have to take a malfunction. To do that I'd need to put the Malfunctions table in my character, but I'm not sure if that breaks the TOS. Anyone know?
