So, we've been playing for a little while with a house rule that grants a number of bonus actions equal to the PCs & NPCs proficiency bonus. So far it hasn't cause any extreme imbalance issues but we're low level.
My question is; do you think this house rule will "break the game" or just increase options per round and overall power? I'd love some feedback.

Honestly it's pretty scary, because there aren't really any official options that give extra bonus actions, so a lot of the game may have been designed with the assumption that you only ever have one. And even adding one extra bonus action will have a huge impact, especially on Rogues and Monks. At high levels it'll get really wild, because your proficiency bonus can get as high as +6.
Consider that a level 17 Rogue with this rule can Dash seven times in the same turn if they want. A level 20 Fighter holding two light weapons could make fourteen attacks in a turn if they use Action Surge too.
