I’m working on a set of combat achievements and I’d love some help brainstorming ideas. Each character will eventually get three class specific achievements that should be challenging and thematic. I’m hoping to tap the community’s creativity!
Here’s the party I’m designing achievements for:
Barbarian — Path of the World Tree (Goliath)
Druid — Circle of the Stars (Human)
Paladin 1 / Celestial Warlock X (Orc)
Sorcerer — Wild Magic (Gnome)
Fighter — Battlemaster (Orc)
I’m looking for:
Tied closely to the subclass’s unique abilities.
Challenging or epic — something that takes planning, timing, or creativity to pull off.
Achievable within a single encounter or session, but difficult enough to feel like an actual accomplishment.
I’d love to hear your suggestions! Bonus points if they are memorable, thematic or reflects the flavor of the subclass!
Thanks in advance for your ideas — I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Do you want the bonuses for completing achievements made with it, if at all?
Regardless ill take a few minutes-or hours to look at stuff, not the greatest dnd player but you can look at my mid-tier ideas
Edit: it would be helpful (not mandatory) to also get a summary of their personalities/fighting style (Like Kind, nice, charming, but erratic and chaotic in combat. Or smart, calculating, observant and careful with thurough planning in combat)
Edit 2: also thought it would be useful to know their level and ruleset usage so I dont accidently give you something they cant physically do. (Like extra attack or second wind movement)

Sorcerer — Wild Magic (Gnome) Gnomes are clever inventors, but this one’s brilliance is fueled by raw, unpredictable chaos. Born with both cunning and wild power, this sorcerer wields chance as their greatest weapon. Control Chaos. During combat, use the Tides of Chaos feature on an ability check or an attack roll to try to use the environment, resources, or creatures nearby you to provide assistance towards the goal trying to be accomplished. A simple attack roll against a creature won't work; rather influence an indifferent creature like a commoner to take up arms and help in the fight. Or use your wild erratic magic to try to cause a natural hazard to block or hurt the enemy would count. This is mostly up to the DM's discretion, but effectivly try to make your chaotic magic to give a boost to your mighty brain and turn the tide of combat.
This is the best i can come up with without further information, hopefully its halfway decent!
If this doesn't follow the guidelines you meant to insue, just let me know and Ill try to make some more achivements after ive been given the clear, as I dont wanna just throw a bunch of word vomit that you cant use at ya.

This is really good! Such a great idea. While the actual achievements need to fit on business-sized cards that I’ll print, this is far better than anything I’ve come up with. It’s exactly what I was looking for!
Regarding the other characters, here’s a little about them:
The Circle of Stars Druid – A very strong player who loves to create unique characters. He values roleplay and story far more than combat. His character is a wild human who talks to a lizard, believing it to be a god that will remake the world if he follows its bidding.
The Fighter – A quieter player than most, but always ready when it counts. He has great ideas both in and out of combat, and he enjoys a balanced mix of roleplay and fighting.
The Barbarian – Another well-balanced player who loves a good laugh. He’s clever, so his ideas are often taken seriously—even when they’re silly and fun! In combat, he prefers straightforward strategies that play to his character’s strengths.
The Sorcerer – A more laid-back player. He doesn’t usually come up with the master plan, but he’s always ready to do whatever it takes for the sake of a good story, both in and out of combat. I don’t know much about his character yet, but I expect he’ll lean heavily into the chaos of his subclass and let that define his role—at least, that’s my best guess.
The Warlock – The rules expert. He knows every class and subclass inside out and loves combat. His ideal campaign would be one big dungeon crawl, and he enjoys min/maxing his characters. When it comes to roleplay, he participates when necessary, but he’s not usually the one to step up for big speeches.
Awesome! I will try to stick to one to two sentences that they can fit on a cart and I’ll try to make them around the sub classes and their personalities!
like a simple achivement for a simple barbarian ;)

A wild man who listens to the whispers of a lizard god, believing its voice will remake the world in starlight and form a new dawn.
Will of the Great God. With a command or consultation of your lizard god that involves a d20 test, roll a natural 20 or make a total of 25 on the dice during the d20 test. If he is level 6 use this text rather: "With a command or consultation of your lizard god that involves a d20 test, use your woe feature, and either make a total roll of 26 or roll a natural 20 on the die during the d20 test." Divine Messenger. Convince another character (PC or NPC) to follow advice “from the lizard god,” and have the advice end up at least half right. Prophet of Scales. Deliver a dramatic or eerie prophecy mid-combat and then fulfill it in the same encounter (Ex. You body will be feasted upon by the Gods People! and then he cats conjure beasts to make a bunch of lizards to kill a creature and eat it).
*I am using 5e for this btw, if its wrong i can check the 2024 rules and adapt it.*
For this I'm focusing on Roleplay abilities more so then combat, and have them based around the will of his lizard god.
Edit: Oh and a dumb one, didnt want to make this one of my main suggestions, but if you dig it. cool. Lizard Logic – Make a tactical or roleplay decision that’s terrible on paper but ends up saving the party.
Editx2: Sorry sorry, just wanted to say one last thing. If you ever want more suggestions on one character, i could just dump out ideas for ya. Or rewrite stuff you like but just isnt exactly what you need
