You can conjure a suit of magical armor onto your body that grants you an AC equal to 14 + your Charisma modifier.
This is exactly what I was looking for while trying to make a character based on Top Cow's Witchblade comic. However, you neglected to state how long it takes to conjure?

Bark side up, bark side down, it really, truly does not matter.
Alright here's my homebrew invocation idea(wish the damn thing existed in creation of homebrew invocations, but whatever). Inspired by Etrigan.
Form of the Abyss
Prerequisite: Fiend subclass, level 5
Once per long rest as an action allow your patron to change your form to that of a fiend for one minute. CR is that of your warlock level. Your stats become the creature's stats save for Wis. and Cha., but as a result of your transformation, you must make a Wis save each round to maintain control(DC is 8 + prof. + Cha. modifier). If failed, the warlock turns on the party and fights them for the remainder of the transformation. Plus, if forced out of transformation by having their HP reduced to 0, their HP is 0 as well.
The idea around it indeed came from Etrigan and I wanted to have a high risk/reward ability. Yes having a fiend on the battlefield can be a boon, but if the player fails their Wis. save, it can be just as much of a problem for them as it is for the enemy. Kind of like how the titular rhyming demon was for the DC universe. What do you guys think.
Can anyone come up with some balanced pact of the tome invocations
Hi, yeah I don't know about balanced but here is something of an idea
Competent cantrips; prerequisites: Pact of the tome, level 5
during a long rest you may select 1 of the cantrips bestowed upon you by your book of shadows, asking your patron for a refund of power. The cantrip you selected is unlearned, and a new cantrip of any spell list is learned in 1d4 short or long rests. (the long rest needed to use this feature counts toward this number, potentially having the cantrip transfer be instantaneous)
Optional rule: your DM may allow you to bypass the '1d4' extra rests it takes to learn a new cantrip. By doing so it means your patron is rushing to grant your wish. your DM might allow you to instead spend gold pieces in sacrifice to your patron, or to alternatively make you roll a religion check (or some sort of charisma check) of a dc set by the DM. (If you are making this as a religion check, you may use your charisma modifier rather than intelligence)
"...make you roll a religion check of a dc set by the DM. (when making a religion check in this way, you may use your charisma modifier rather than intelligence)"
I could see that being a Persuasion check too, to see how nicely you asked your patron. They aren't all religion based.
"...make you roll a religion check of a dc set by the DM. (when making a religion check in this way, you may use your charisma modifier rather than intelligence)"
I could see that being a Persuasion check too, to see how nicely you asked your patron. They aren't all religion based.
my characters tend to use intitimadation to barter for stuff but then again it might not be a good idea to try and scare a 30ft demon lord with considerable power over me
Not a good idea, no, but the best adventures always start with the worst decisions! And who knows, maybe a demon lord would find the attempt adorable, like when puppies try to growl.
“I could see that being a Persuasion check too, to see how nicely you asked your patron. They aren't all religion based.“
that is true, though that is the point of using your charisma modifier in the first place, it does seem more appropriate to use a charisma skill like persuasion or performance. Though I don’t personally recommend leaving an invocation to be a luck based roll, which is why I like the gold piece sacrifice and/or the resting mechanic
Way too strong. Think about it. A CR 8 is what a T Rex is. Being level 8 character is nothing, but a cr 8 is ******* ridiculous for level eight characters. And if it turns then that’s about max 10 rounds of fighting and that will prolly kill the level 8 players in your campaign. I get the concept of an extreme save or suck, but this is seriously broken IMO.
Whenever you make a ranged weapon attack that requires ammunition, you may replace the ammunition with an eldritch blast, and gain any benefits you would get for both a ranged weapon attack and an eldritch blast, including range, spell effects, eldritch invocations, or anything else that would buff these. This attack's damage die is 1d10 force damage, unless otherwise stated by spells or invocations, and does not use the base weapon's damage dice. You can only add one ability modifier to this attack
Forgive me if this was already suggested in this thread, but I feel like there should be an invocation for Pact of the Chain warlocks that let them cast Find Steed with a warlock spell slot once per long rest. Maybe even give them a "free" upgrade to the invocation to cast Find Greater Steed when their spell slots reach the appropriate level. Similar to find familiar, perhaps when cast this way they could get access to special mount options not usually available from the spell.

When you cast eldritch blast as an action, you can use a bonus action to make one additional beam.
Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn't impose disadvantage on eldritch blast attack rolls.
Pocket of Holding (Warlock Invocation)
You gain access to a pocket of extradimensional space, once per round an item you are holding, or an object not being held or warn by another creature that you touch with a free hand, can be magically sent into the pocket (no action required). The pocket can hold up to 500 pounds, not exceeding a volume of 64 cubic feet. Retrieving an item from the pocket requires an action.
If you are reduced to 0 hit points, the pocket’s contents appear on the ground in the closest available spaces to you. If the pocket is overloaded, the contents are scattered in the Astral Plane.
You can transform a magical shield instead of a weapon with your pact of the blade feature.
Your pact shield is equipped when summoned and disappears if unequipped, if you dismiss the shield (no action required), or if you die.
While your pact shield is equipped, you can use your Charisma modifier instead of Dexterity, when calculating your armor class.
Pact of the Pixies (Warlock Invocation)
Prerequisite: 5th level, Pact of the Chain
When you cast the find familiar spell you can choose an additional form, Pixie. The pixie can not attack but as an action you can allow your pixie to cast a spell. The pixie’s spells are replaced with the following:
If you also have the Voice of the Chain Master (Warlock Invocation); when speaking through your Pixie familiar, the Pixie casts Disguise Self appearing as a tiny version of you, the spell ends when you end your connection with the Pixie.
Alternatives to Disguise Self, Silent Image to project an image of you, or Polymorph to transform into you with AC1 and 1HP (No attacking).
Someone asked for a invocation that allows find greater steed? Here it is!
Familiar of Many Forms Prerequisites: Pact of the chain; level 7 Your familiar can now take on many more forms.
You learn the spells find steed and find greater steed, and can cast them as a ritual. Your steed is considered your familiar, so when you summon it your familiar changes into it’s form and it benefits from any benefits to your familiar. In addition, the casting time of find steed, find greater steed and find familiar become one action as long as you already have a familiar summoned.
Shapeshifting Familiar Prerequisites: Pact of the chain; level Your patron has granted your familiar the ability to take on other forms.
You can cast polymorph on your familiar once using a warlock spell slot. When you do so your familiar’s challenge rating is considered to be half your level and it can either become a beast or a creature of its type. It’s type doesn’t change if it turns into a beast. You can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
What do you think? They’re meant as a way to make your familiar feel like a shapeshifter rather than a spirit taken a (rather static in most cases) physical form. Also I know the names are bad and I would love new ones.
This isn't actually a signature, just something I copy and paste onto the bottom of all my posts. Or is it? Yep, it is. Or is it..? I’m a hobbit, and the master cranial imploder of the "Oops, I Accidently Destroyed Someone's Brain" cult. Extended sig. I'm actually in Limbo, it says I'm in Mechanus because that's where I get my WiFi from. Please don't tell the modrons, they're still angry from the 'Spawning Stone' fiasco. No connection to Dragonslayer8 other than knowing them in real life.

What do you think?
EDIT: It’s probably quite OP, I’m thinking about increasing the level. It’s meant to be a way to make your familiar feel like a shapeshifter rather than a spirit taken a (rather static in most cases) physical form.
I really like it. I think the addition of polymorph is a bit much, but everything else is fantastic in my opinion

Pact: Pact of the Ward
You have pact armor that your patron has granted you. You choose what kind of mundane armor it is when you conjure it for the first time. In addition, it cannot be plate or splint when you conjure it the first time. You are considered to be proficient with this armor while you wear it.
As a bonus action, you can temporarily dismiss your pact armor. It disappears into an extradimensional space where it awaits your summons. As a bonus action while it is temporarily dismissed, you can cause it to reappear. Conjuring the armor instantly dons it. When you doff any piece of this armor, you dismiss the full set of armor. It also disappears if you die.
You can transform one set of armor into your pact armor by performing a special ritual while you hold the set of armor. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. You can then dismiss the set of armor, shunting it into the extradimensional space, and it appears whenever you create your pact armor thereafter. You can’t affect an artifact or a sentient set of armor in this way. The armor ceases being your pact armor if you die, if you perform the 1-hour ritual on a different set of armor, or if you use a 1-hour ritual to break your bond to it. The armor appears at your feet if it is in the extradimensional space when the bond breaks.
In addition, if there is a Strength requirement for your pact armor, it instead has an Intelligence requirement of the same amount.
Invocation: Improved Ward Prerequisite: Pact of the Ward
Any critical hit against you while you wear your pact armor counts as a regular hit instead.
If the normal version of your pact armor would impose disadvantage on your Dexterity (Stealth) checks, your pact armor does not.
While you are wearing your pact armor, bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage that you take from nonmagical weapons is reduced by 1.
I made a homebrew Pact Boon and Invocation to match.

Looks cool. Wouldnt it make more sense for the armor requirement to switch from Str to Cha instead of Int for a warlock?

Well, I wanted it to be an ability score that doesn’t rely on the strongest nor what is most likely the weakest ability score for a warlock, but is still potentially an above-average score for warlocks.
