I am pretty new to DnD, only playing for about a year, and even newer to homebrewing.
During this time I have always wondered why there is no Spellcasting Barbarian Subclass. Sure they are banned to cast spells while raging, but an exception to a rule always proofs the rule. So I tried to create one myself. Not wanting to go the traditional way of making a third caster I fell in love with the idea of incorparating the spellcasting of the Warlock into this idea. And I think it matches great. Few spellslots but those are mighty really fits the barbarian vibe.
3 spell slots per short rest is too many, and the restrictions for casting spells while raging need work so that this is actually fun, but otherwise, it looks pretty good. You might want to reformat the spell list additions, because it looks exactly like subclass-granted autoprepared spells. Some of the features might be a bit overtuned, but I'm not sure.
Yeah, reformating the spelllist is probably a good hint. Haven't come to see another way to do it yet, but am going to work on it.
Why is 3 spell slots per long rest too many? Assuming one Short Rest per day you get 6 castings of spells per day, plus the one restricted spell you can cast when going into rage. Having fewer sounds like you would be way to limited on spells. But please change my mind.
How would you change the restrictions on casting spells while raging and why? The current vibe was to go full on buff for oneself and debuff/crowd control towards enemies while keeping a role play possibility outside of raging.

Come on and roast this idea.

I also have no idea how to make this via the hombrew builder as Warlock spellcasting is not supported by it.
I am open for suggestions tho.
