Does anyone know if it's possible to replace DEX attack and damage bonuses with INT bonus instead? I could certainly do it manuall on the sheet, but I am wondering if you could build a homebrew subclass with that baked right in. Maybe zero out or reset teh DEX bonus, and then Add a INT attack, damage and AC bonus?
The idea came up in a facebook thread about how much someone hated DEX as a combat stat (i know, that old chestnut again right?) but it did get me thinking about a Tactical Combat warrior martial subclass - a Studious Monk or maybe a Spymaster Rogue, who uses their knowledge of combat tactics and intelligence to anticipate attacks, and find openings for causing damage. I think you could have some cool builds with INT based combat and skills.
You are using Bonetti’s Defense against me, ah? I thought it fitting considering the rocky terrain. Naturally, you must suspect me to attack with Capa Ferro? Naturally, but I find that Thibault cancels out Capa Ferro. Don’t you? Unless the enemy has studied his Agrippa… which I have.
I don't believe you'd be able to swap this in a subclass, as it's not tied to a class-- It's tied to the equipment. You could try and see if there's a modifier for a homebrew item that would allow you to use INT instead of DEX/STR, and then you would have to make each item available to that class in an INT variant.
Thanks! I wonder if it would be more trouble to change manual bonuses on each weapon, or create custom INT based weapons every time they got a new one... hmmm... still hoping their would be some way to do this at a MACRO level... swap INT for DEX for all finesse weapons for example...
I'll keep poking around...
Thanks again!
