This is a method that I have come to like after running several play by post sessions for well over three years and am beginning to use in a weekly digital tabletop group. What I have learned when I award full experience points up to around level ten is that leveling seems to progress further and faster than a slow medium of use. This way players can customize and always keep in mind to work on their characters when off time happens. I've noticed that at higher levels the monsters usually have such a high amount of experience points that when I throw a few higher CR rated monsters at the group, leveling happens almost too quickly. I thought I put this out here for those that feel dividing experience points takes too long. There are pros and cons to this approach, I'd like to hear both if any want to chime in on this.
