So, I want to run a dark tournament arc and wanted to create the characters listed at the bottom. If I can get any tips on how to balance a monster, I would appreciate it. This will be for a party of 11th level characters, however, most will be one on one battles. So what kind of stats are good for a 1 v 1 with 11th level characters?
Team Rokuyukai (1 v 1 matches)
Chu - Monk Drunken Fist Style
Zeru - Fire based attacks
Rinku - yo-yo based attacks
Roto - has a bomb remote connected to a loved one
Dr. Ichigaki Team (this is a full team fight, so these should be of equal CR rating for five 11th level characters)
En - Multiple Ranged energy rings
Kai - An invisible javelin
Ryo - Can shape one, or both, hands into an energy bomb
M4 - Leopard-lizard hybrid
M5 - Tiger-lizard hybrid
Team Masho (1 v 1 matches)
Risho - earth based attacks
Jin - Flying and speed abilities
Touya - Ice abilities
Gama - special paint that creates power ups for himself or weights for opponents
Bakken - creates fog with his sweat
Team Uraotogi (1 v 1 matches)
Onji - shapeshifter with magic items
Shishiwakamaru - a teleporting blanket and demonic sword
Kuro Momotaro - ability to not be damaged by the same attack twice
Ura Urashima - special weapon resembling a fishing line
Yes, most definitely a lot of homebrewing. And it will be more of a story arc than a one shot. Taking probably 3+ sessions to complete. I'll add side missions and that sort of thing that way it isn't just combat round after combat round.
For Team Urameshi, Yusuke would be Warlock, Fiend/Celestial patron with pact of the Blade (pact weapon hand crossbow). Spirit gun = Eldritch Blast. Alternatively he could be Path of the Sun Soul monk. Kuwabara probably would also be Warlock pact if the blade, celestial patron. Kurama could be tiefling/kitsune(homebrew race) and druid- likely circle of the moon, maybe spores. I think Hiei would be a multiclass of some sort, potentially Oathbreaker paladin mixed with sorcerer. Genkai is a monk- Sun Soul or Open Hand make sense to me.
As for some of the opponents, some could just be straight-up demons/devils out of the monster manual, with more humanoid features. Whatever you decide on, I'm sure you and your players will have fun.

I really liked that story arc from Yu Yu Hakusho. However, this seems like it will need a lot of homebrewing.
