It details a lot of work and some very interesting variants to remove classes from D&D, replacing everything with a point buy system. It's amazingly flexible and fully recreates the character classes.
Apparently he wasn't happy with the non-portability when 4th edition came out and so he wanted to provide a direct, full compatibility to what he thought should be the next edition (D&D 5e). Obviously Wizards' of the Coasts' later 5th edition hasn't lived up to that, but I'd still like to hear your thoughts.
