i'm new to the homebrew stuff on dndbeyond and don't entirely know how it works yet. im trying to take the sacred kin barbarian subclass from xanathars lost notes to everything else (link here) and add it to one of my characters. this subclass adds spell casting to the barb in a similar manner to an eldritch knight or arcane trickster but uses the sorcerer spell list instead of the wizards. i don't know how to add this or if it can be added with dndbeyond and would appreciate some help
edit: i now have the additional problem that when i added the metamagic options only the first four are showing up in the character creator and i cannot make it so the player can choose two at level 6 then one more on certain levels
(Doing this all from memory, so may be some inaccuracies)
In the subclass's additional options their should be a section for spellcasting options. You will want to add sorcerer as a spell list and set other settings there (you should be able to figure it out).
You will need to give it the "spellcasting" feature.
For metamagic, create all the options under 1 feature then that feature should have a little box near the bottom "levels when options learned" or something like that. Put the levels when you want the class to learn options. For example, if it starts with 2 and learns a new one every 4 levels ot would be 1,1,5,9,13,17.
I'm not sure if you can make sorcery points work or not.
This should help you get started, hopefully you can figure out most of it.
when i went and changed the options in spell casting no option to pick spells off of the sorcerer list appeared in the character creator let alone the option to choose spells at all. i don't see any other options to change this
i already set up the sorcery points. its just special action with multiple uses that increase every few levels

one time my character flirted with some towns folk while hiding in the illusion of a black dragon. "the dragon seduces you"
Ok I opened up the homebrew tools to get specific:
Under basic information (the additional spellcasting options I mentioned): spell casting ability - [your choice], can cast spells - yes, additional spell list - sorcerer, spell prepare type - half level (probably), knows all spells - no (probably).
Then make sure you have a class feature named "spellcasting".

I hope that was specific enough.
i'm sorry but followed your instructions to the letter and nothing has changed. should i bring this up in a bugs and support thread?

Just post a link to your subclass so far (doesn't need to be published) so a mod can look at it.
You are clicking save and then having a character re select the updated subclass right?
yeah, i'v saved my edits to the subclass and i refreshed the character page every time. i just reselected the class entirely and nothing has changed
