All 6 soul spells, granted in traditional half-caster order
All Charms but Nailmaster's Glory and maybe one other one but I forgot which
Increase in nail strength
Monarch Wings
Mantis Claw
Isma's Tear
Shade Cloak
It does not include:
Crystal Heart
Mothwing Cloak
Mind reading
Essence
Any features that have to do with social interaction, because clearly the little Knight isn't much of a talker. He was specifically built to not have a personality.
Subclasses. Instead, it has a robust system of charms.
Salubra's blessing
Nail Arts
It was fun to design. In the end I'd say he's somewhere between a monk and a warlock.
Instead of fuel for special abilities (like spell slots or ki) refilling at rests, it refills a little bit at rests and more so when you reduce creatures to 0 hit points. This is limited by a restrictive maximum of how much fuel (soul) you can have at once.
It was tricky to translate this skill set from a single-player, exploration-focused platformer to a multiplayer roleplaying game. Especially when in the original game your character gets new skills at narrative milestones and when you happen across them in the world. In DND, your character gets new skills as you gain experience points. This can be very different.
Fascinating exercise in game development. Let me know what you think! This is the first class I've designed all the way through and am not completely sure about the balance, but it seems to be comparable to monks and warlocks (who are generally agreed to be the weakest classes, at least at higher tiers) so I'm not too worried.
I absolutely love how this class has been built and I am certainly going to see if my GM will let me give it a try in our current game. The abilities seem like they are translated very well into D&D from what I'm reading though numbers may need a little adjusting along the way, it'll need some playtesting for sure. One suggestion would be to clarify when and how charms can be rearranged and how notches work in general. As someone who has played Hollow Knight I know how charms work but someone who hasn't may not find it as clear. Overall fantastic work
Hey y'all. I just made a class for DND that's based on the main character of Hollow Knight. Here's a link to the document if you want to see it:

Here's an alternate version of the class: https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-MF6TXmvDAQA4oVG65uc
It includes the following:
Increase in Nail strength was taken out, since players can find +1 weapons and such in-game.
Thanks a bunch to Andrew Welker for making this possible :)
If you play a campaign in the hollow knight world, play this:
Supreme Cat-lover Of The First Grade
I AM A CAT PERSON. /\_____/\
She/her pronouns please. (=^.^=)
This class looks amazing and flavorful. I love the way the charms and soul work and I will definitely keep a copy of the doc, if you don't mind.
