I want to make a subclass that doesn't have Spellcasting or Pact Magic, but learns spells that can be cast in a different way. I want the available spell levels to grow with class level at the rate of an Eldritch Knight or Arcane Trickster. (But again, there are no spell slots, so no need for the spells to show up under the Spells tab--unless it's multiclassed with a normal spellcaster. I have "Subclass can cast spells?" set to "No," as a result. Making the spells "cost a spell slot" creates the appropriate multiclass functionality.)
Learning spells of the appropriate level from the character builder would be very easy if the Level Divisor went up to 6, but for some reason, 5 is the maximum. Considering no official published material uses a Level Divisor of 3 or 5, but two PHB subclasses use a Level Divisor of 6...
WHY DOES THE LEVEL DIVISOR ONLY GO TO 5!?
As it stands, I'm gonna need to make a large set of Options, with multiple "1st Level Spell," "2nd Level Spell," etc such that someone of the appropriate level can select any combination of them. That also looks really ugly on the Features page compared to a nicely curated list of spells, because the "1st Level Spell" will be listed as the option chosen, with the actual spell name below it.
EDIT TO ADD: Also, while complaining about Beyond's handling of spell level progression, why in heck are Eldritch Knight and Arcane Trickster listed as the examples of half-casters? They're 1/3 casters, with Paladin/Ranger/Artificer being half-casters. Look at the spell slots, the spell levels, and the way the Spellcasting feature works for multiclass spellcasters.
