Tempe smiles a crocodile smile only cause he has no choice in the matter. Remembering the man putting away his sword instead of attacking when Tempe was trying to capture him. He looks for any of the ones that were at the hole not long ago. 23 perception. Passive 14
(Lol) Tempe holding the drink looks at the man and bows keeping his eyes on him "Perhaps we should tell them about our recent acquisition"He says to Petcan "Unless you think it's unwise."
You spot the one you captured briefly before he escaped. He is offering Zenodor a refreshment.
Zenodor takes the refreshment and thanks the native. However, he does not drink from it and at the first opportunity will put it down while fiddling with his equipment, inconspicuously empty it, and then walk around with an empty bowl/cup/goblet/whatever instead.
Continuing to watch the natives and observe their interactions while learning as many phrases in their language as he can,, Randall says, “Yes, I think we should tell them we eliminated a dangerous threat we encountered on the way here and show them the head—but it needs to be explained carefully first so we don’t scare them.”
Once Petcan explains, Randall will slowly remove the chuul head from the bag of holding.

During al this talking Bow will take some refreshments from the natives and happily eats/drinks them while watching as the others talk. Waiting till they move on. Thinking about what the colonists will think about other people living on the island.

”Yes, of course, Tempe. The bonfire is how we found them,” responds Randall, looking around for any piles of ash or charcoal that might be the remains of a huge bonfire.

Petcan will try to ask about things necessary for the trade post, like farming, and etc.
After, he’ll look to the others. “I think we should reach out to soldiers back at he landing site, then get to the business of clearing out these purple wraiths for good.”
"Sounds like a good plan, Tempe. Let's ask about the bonfire and learn whatever other small phrases we can in their language before we head out. Perhaps Zenodor could send a status report to the leaders of our encampment via Irraxa, and we can check out the nearest of the Purplewraith nests on our route back?" suggests Randall.

Zenodor: "Excellent plan. I shall send Irraxan immediately and communicate to the soldiers. Perhaps we can clear one site of Purplewraths while the soldiers clear the other two"
"Sounds like a plan, those purplewraiths seem to be a good first thing to kill on this island, to make it save."

“The hope we found was super deep though…. We should find another way down if we can.”
OOC: Can we not use our existing magic and items to go down the deep hole? Z and Ignis both have Winged Boots, giving them flying speed for 4h. Z can cast fly on 2 targets which lasts for 10 mins. So we could get 4 of the 5 PCs to fly. Assuming we can rig up some rope/net or even just hold onto the last party member by hand, I would have thought that this would get us to the bottom? The constraints would be the Fly spell, but 30ft * 6 rounds * 10 minutes =1800ft. That's over 1/2 kilometre or 1/3 of a mile. And we can send Irraxan down first to check the depth to be on the safe side.
[Yes, there are other ways of getting down - like feather fall - but I am thinking that the way down has to be reversible so we can escape later]

Petcan shrugs. “They say they don’t wander the island much. They probably didn’t leave those things there. I suspect a third party.”
Petcan asks islanders: “Are there other people around besides your village?”

Tempe says to Petcan "Ask about the huge bonfire please." since this if what brought them here in the first place.
