"Doesn't raise any suspicion?! DOESN'T RAISE ANY SUSPICION? YOU'RE THE MOST SUSPICIOUS OF THE BUNCH! Passing you off as an automaton is probably the only thing keeping you from being chased into a crevasse by a mob, to sit frozen for the next millennia! Best I could do is park you in the common room and tell everyone you're powered down, but you'd never keep your mouth shut long enough to pass as a statue!"
This is followed by incoherent ranting and arm waving.

Maudath can't help but begin to shake with laughter as the Professor explodes at Ryhunis.
"It had to be said," Maudath finally says once he gets himself under control. "So, are we going now or waiting until a few of these oafs out there get a tad sleepy?"
"What an insult! I can be quite stealthy and silent if i want to! I just wish to never do it, it's below me to do that!" Ryhunis scoffed and returned to her litle corner
Maudath, still smiling at the Professor's rebuke of Ryhunis, pulls his heavy cloak a little tighter around his shoulders and pushes open the door wide, stepping out into the courtyard.
"Let's go," Maudath says. "I think it was the gatehouse. If not we can just ask there for directions."

(Yes there you go!)
You all head toward the gatehouse, it's a short 45 sec walk to the gate. You can clearly see lights flickering from the area above the gate.
After a few moment the same gatekeeper that greeted you when you arrived opens the door. "Ah, hello my friends. How can I help you? Do you wish to head out of the Caer?"
Maudath decides that's an invitation and enters the gatehouse and looks for the stairs or a ladder that will lead them up to where Huarwar is supposed to be.
"Oh...well, wait...." he stammers out as you push into the gatehouse. Inside you find a small chamber roughly 10x10. There is a small table and a bed as well as a cauldron holding warm coals. "The best way to access the upper floor is by either taking the steps upto the upper walkway or thru one of the guard towers to the upper floor. This is my chambers"
(the gatehouse you entered is on the righthand side of the portcullis. Your given chamber is the upper right tower. )
"I'm more known for my brilliance than my tact.", the Professor muses, handwaving away the admonishment.
"You see, errr. I'm not sure we caught your name. Professor C.R. Wibblpingle, pleasure."
"You see [Guard Name if Given], I can't help but try to solve things that are puzzling me. And what's puzzling me right now, is why this town has been taken over by two breeds of devil worshipers. Two camps opposed to one another, and working at odds... Why this town? Why now? Especially when some seem to just be going along with it to not make waves and swamp their boat, as it were."

Maudath looks around the guard room and realizes the guard must be telling the truth as he sees no sign of a ladder or stairs. He sticks his head back outside into the courtyard and spots the stairs.
"I see the stairs, Professor," Maudath says. Then he looks over at the guard. "We'll get out of your hair and let you get back to . . . back to whatever you were doing in here by yourself. But what helps us move faster is when you answer the Professor's questions."

The Professor halts, spinning on Ryhunis.

"I shan't believe you until you can prove capable of such discretion!", the Professor exclaims, waggling a finger.

You all bundle backup and head out of the guard tower. Where would you like to go?
((We were told the location of Huruwarwar's post, correct? Guardhouse, I think?))

Maudath walks up to the gatehouse and bangs on the door then looks over his shoulder while waiting for a response to see if the others came along.

"No, not at the moment, my good man. We'd like to speak to Huarwar, if he's about?"

He thinks for a moment. "I believe the boy is upstairs manning the lift mechanisms. "

"You one of the devil worshippers too, or you work for the speaker?"

Still a little off "I do serve my lord Levistus, but devil worshiper seems a bit crude."
