Vaden is going to cast web

He wants to place it where it catches some of the undead, but he also wants it to, conveniently, block the path towards him as well. He would like to catch the one that just attacked him, if possible, but I am not sure of the layout and positions. It is more important to catch multiple zombies in the spell than to catch just the one nearest him.

Vaden would then move back away from the zombie that attacked him, and make sure to put the mass of webs between himself and the majority of the undead.

Joroden is doing decently well at holding back the horde (I think). If there is a viable path to run through, Joroden will be glad to hold the enemy off until everyone escapes (if that is the plan).

Praeda is at 1 hit point, so she'll run for the door on her turn.

(Sorry for not posting. I have an erratic schedule right now and mildly bad Covid kept me mostly incapable of dedicating time to anything last week. Also, zombies are slower than everyone in the party, so we can disengage and move instead of provoking OAs. I'm assuming the skeletons will be able to hit us even if we dash, but if we can get 30 feet past short range for their shortbows by dashing, that's probably better.)

(Can we secure the doorway against the horde or not? Not clear)

Kralog runs 30 feet through the gap in the horde of undead. Then he casts gust of wind to one side, pushing back the zombies in a 60 foot line on a failed DC 15 Strength save.

Evre casts dragon’s breath  (fire) on her owl, who uses flyby and breathes, widening the escape path 

11 fire damage for all in a 15’ cone dex 14 save for half

Evre climbs on her broom of flying and tries to fly away. (Hoping it works now!) 

”well, that was close!   I’m sorry we didn’t find more of interest in there.” Evre says.
Evre will take first watch, with her owl “quill” sitting in a tree nearby carefully listening and watching as well.

"Well, we'll just have to wait a month and give it another try." Vaden says with a shrug. He knows patience is sometimes better than taking too many risks, though he had been sorely tempted to simply retreat back inside of the crypt as the others fled. He would be willing to take the final watch of the night, needing sleep to replenish his spells.

Joroden's raven will take watch as he sleeps.

“Well, good morning everyone.  We escaped the crypt, in spite of the odds.   I guess the next question is what do we do now?” Evre asks the group.

"Likely our only real option is to return to the village where we all met." Vaden speaks up. "From there we can decide what to do next."

“This sounds good to me.  We can think about what we learned and then come back stronger, if we feel there is more to gain there.”  Evre says.   Shall we?  

when the group is ready, she sends Her owl up to scout from above as they make their way back to the village.   She casts mage armor on herself, and walks along with the group.  

"We have a month to prepare. Let's see how much of the crypt we can map from memory and buy some more equipment."

"A month? That's a bore. But it could be advantageous. And who knows, we might find a quicker way in."
