The 6 withered figures wearing masks slumped in their seats do not move.
Also, i'm going to be honest with you guys (if you're ok with it) with who is remaining - this is basically a death sentence for you all. =P I'm not talking about this room, it's surviving the last encounter.
There are the bones of a long dead god, and in the pile, a ring of protection. The corpses sitting on the thrones immediately turn to dust and fade away.
Mal just quietly watches from the side as Clayton moves around the room. When asked by his sister if he wants to enter he quietly replies to her.
"Nah I don't wanna go into a room with him messing around with stuff. That's just asking to be killed by some random unseen trap." The the tingling happens and he looks over at her with a quirked up eyebrow and an 'I told you so' look on his face.
Crumbling balconies overlook a pool of lava filling this triangular chamber, above which is sustended an enormous crystal cylinder held in place by three adamantine struts. Wraithlike forms swirl inside the cylinder, and otherworldly screams hang in the air. Four long, writhing tentacles sprout from the cylinder's cap. A shriveled monstronsity the size of an elephant floats near the cylinder. It's body is wet and malformed, its arms and legs are atrophied, and its oversized head drips with black goo. The creature is attached to the cylinder by a twisted umbilical cord.
You realize, to your horror, you have been teleported to the Tomb of Annihilation's deepest level, where the Soulmonger is feeding souls into this horrid monstrosity.
NOTES: - You are in the room with the red lava. - The Soulmonger is a crystal cylinder 20 feet high and 10 feet wide. It is an artifact of pure evil, and the adamantine struts CAN be damaged. ANY time someone attacks the struts, the Death God fetus gets one free attack, no matter what, in addition to the attacks it makes on you all when it is it's turn. - You are 30' away from the Soulmonger and the Death God fetus. - Acererak is nowhere to be found. Yet. - The trickster gods inside you give you one last boon to help save the world - you each gain 50 temporary HP. - There is a platform you will all fight on. Be careful and don't fall or get pushed into the lava. That is instadeath.
As Clayton looks around, his eyes focus on the monstrosity, “Oh that’s REALLY bad.” Clayton summons his magical maul. “I think we found the soulmonger y’all! What’s the plan?”
"Oh **** what, uh I don't know I didn't expect this," Mal scans the room quickly, tugging his sister behind him. "We want to destroy the soulmonger first right? Get rid of it and all our problems will be solved?"

OOC: Death sentence because we've lost to many people or because the room is deadly?
We've lost two people.
OOC: We could just give Bree to Shy as Mingo said

We could, but you're the most regular person on here =P I'm down for whatever, don't get me wrong.
OOC: Worst case, I can take over for Bree in combat *shrug*
Clayton will remove one of the masks, gently.

Again, surprisingly, nothing happens. You now have a papier-mache mask.
Excellent! Does it seem magical at all?

Unfortunately, not. But in the center of the room is the large sarcophagus.
A faint rumbling sound can be heard far off in the distance, as if some ancient machine has activated. The entire room now feels...tingly.
OOC: Yeah, maybe let’s just put that on in case it might help me against traps. Especially tingly ones!
Clayton will head over to the sarcophagus and try to move the lid.

“That’ll come in handy. Thank you, bear buddy. Your children were adorable.” Clayton will put it on. Team, where to next?

How aboot we cut to the chase. It's not like you guys are going to survive this, so i'm going to push this forward a bit.
The tingling sensation gets stronger and stronger, quite rapidly, and you feel yourself being teleported to another location.
Within an instant, you find yourself in another location, which I will describe as soon as my boss decides to stop looking over my god damn shoulder.
