Kolose, unable to see much, decides the best course of action for now is to also retreat up the stairs, holding another toll the dead at the ready should any spooky apparations come within sight.
Kolose's magical vision fades, but he can faintly still feel the magic thrumming and pulsing as he holds the spell at the edge of being released.
Fargas needs no further urging from Petmailer, though he moans in fear a bit at Galingal warning that they can just go right through doors, and vanishes into the fog, emerging on the other side.
"I thought for sure the halfling was gone!", Jimjar remarks, holding his crossbow trained down the stairs.
Galingal feels the pulsing awareness in his raven mark fade... he's certain the undead are no longer turned.
Neth sees Kolose clearly holding a spell on the edge of casting it without any unintended effects, and begins a casting of his own, holding it in abeyance.

Petmailer stays at the door, seeing Galingal engage the ghostly form, calling out “They can make it through these doors? Oh no… my arcane energy that I can put in my bow is gone until I rest… Well, here goes.. “. He pulls on the bowstring and lets it loose into the ghost, trying to think of one last ditch effort if the other ghosts return.
Longbow : 24 to hit, for 7 points of piercing damage.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
((Galingal killed the one that didn't flee (post at top of this page), so I'll assume Pet is readying an attack.))
Stena and Petmailer both draw back arrows, aiming them at the walls for now.
Lia calls out through the fog, "How's it going in there!? Stena? Galingal?"
She starts humming to herself.
Kolose can feel the magic building within and has to let the threads of the spell slip and disperse or cast it. With no one but allies visible, he lets it fade.
((To provide a bit more clarity and transparency since how I'd run this at at table probably isn't the best for forums... From when they were turned and fled, 12 seconds passed before Galingal felt his goddess loose her hold on them, so he knows that time is limited, they could be back as soon as end of next round if they return at the same speed that they fled. I'll just tell you straight up that they will be back the round after next round, so you have this current turn, next turn, and the following one, before they get back.))
((If Galingal would to try to check one of the coffins, he can pick 1-4 and make a STR check to try to open the lid. If it matters to him, the one that he destroyed came out of 3, the inhabitants of 1,2 and 4 are the ones that fled.))
Galingal exerts himself and just manages to shift the lid enough to reveal shriveled remains, wrapped in the tattered remnants of a burial shroud, the remains clasping an ornate wooden walking stick with a golden scorpion handle along their torso. By there legs is an ewer of beaten gold.

Petmailer steps to coffin number 2, strains to lift off the lid and examine the contents inside, looking for anything to help. As he does, he speaks to Galingal, saying “I can no longer infuse my bow shots with magic apparently until I rest, I need to find something that I can strike them with…. any ideas how to damage them?” Behind him, he calls out “Anyone back there who can cast magic, we need your help!”
Athletics check to lift the lid off : 17
As he is prying the lid off, Petmailer has an idea and he says it aloud, “Is there any way to damage these crystals when the return to perhaps have them explode, or harm the ghosts? I felt a thrumming energy when I cast dancing lights, what if something was directed toward the crystals while the ghosts were close by?”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I wouldn't mess with it! The crystals are volatile- Casting any kind of magic seems to set them off, and it may as well be bad for us as them..!" Kolose offers his scholarly opinion, even if he thinks on the prospects of intentionally using the crystals from what little he's seen/deduced from them so far...
Petmailer manages to shove the lid to the side to reveal a similarly withered set of human remains, though this one clasps a carved ivory wand to its chest, and thick gold bracelets adorn both wrists.
Kolose ponders the implications of Petmailer's proposed course of action:
He suspects that the crystals in this area are an outgrowth of latent magic from the tomb itself, combined with aspects of the Underdark, and that they are acting almost like lenses and mirrors to magic, in the way that if one were to enter a room filled with assorted mirrors and lenses, and shine a bright enough light, it may bounce around, be concentrated and diffused in unexpected ways.
He's not sure if smashing the crystals would make magic safe to use without unintended consequences, whether it would make it worse, or whether it might release that thrum of magic that seems inherent to the area in a dangerous or catastrophic way. It does seem likely that if smashing them does result in a violent release of magical energies, it ought to be effective against the undead.... but also against the living. If they had a way to do so from range, perhaps it could be worth the attempt, if other methods don't win out.

Galingal shakes his head.
"Undead can be hurt by weapons but magic ones hurt them more," Galingal says to Petmailer.
He then contemplates what Stena asked and shakes his head again.
"Think not. That voice aware. These," he says, gesturing to the walls where the ghosts fled "barely hold thought together."
Galingal then looks around the room for anything that might give a clue about who the ghosts were or how to stop them, examining the coffins (lids, sides, bases) for any images, words, etc.
A quick glance around doesn't reveal much that would help Galingal put things together other than that he's pretty sure none of them are the mage that was purported to be buried here, as none of the coffins seem positioned with any more reverence than the others.
((That's probably running through most of the ~12-18 seconds you had before they return, so can I get a clarification on any readied actions? Stena has bow readied, how about the rest of you?))
