Lia nods her agreement to Thom, about getting the whole mask off as soon as possible if they can manage to escape.
Day 10:
Lia holds Galingal’s hand and leads him around the narrow walkways as needed.
As she wanders about, outside of the cell, Lia tries to keep an eye out for anything phosphorescent, glowing dimly in the gloom. If she can see any phosphorescent moss clinging to any of the rocks, she’ll try and swipe a little bit and hide it in her rag-clothes.
Aside from that, she’ll do her chores, help her fellow inmates, and keep a low profile as best she can.
Back in the cell, she would try and mime/ask Lex, or someone, to braid her hair back up off of her face, if possible.
Lex translates the Mistress's speech in Undercommon for the others, just summarizing rather than relaying the exact words.
She completes her work silently as usual, looking around for the scarred drow.
((Perception? 16))
Back in the cell, when Lia approaches her and mimes braiding her hair, she'll smile and nod, sitting down cross-legged behind the other woman. Her fingers deftly weave through Lia's hair, fingers warm against her scalp, and in a few minutes Lia has a simple braid similar to Lex's own.
Io woke up like she was in the midle of the deepest sleep one eye after the other "W.. wh... w..where are we? What year is this? Why is it so cold?" Her hair looked more like a badly made wig then anything else She looked around her and noticed that she was on standing up with the rest of the group "Did i hibernate myself again? I hate when this happens, better to just keep up with these people I really want to get out of here"
Lia’s instinct is to comfort the distressed woman she knows as ‘Io’. But thinks better of it, the way Lia looks and sounds at the moment… She wouldn’t be able to explain anything very quickly anyway. She does offer her a kind glance, and tries to make her eyes as caring and understanding as possible.
Inside she’s screaming at this hell she’s in, where she can’t even console one who’s in distress…
Thom would've muttered to the disheveled woman who just seemed to wake up "Hibernation is better than this hell, ma'am. Yer best to continue with your sleeps." and he has a defeated look in his eyes. "Look around."
Stena squints across the cell to Io and Thom. She seems like she wants to say something but thinks better of it and checks to see if the derro is still watching her.
Stena, the derro seems to be smiling and humming to himself. You do notice the orc giving you the stink eye though. Plenty of past animosity between your races there...
While on your work details...
Lex, Thom and Buppido:
"This is a fine floor, don't you think? I've not seen one quite this nice in a while... since maybe.... the last time I had to scrub it. How about you two, have you seen such a floor as this?", Buppido asks, cheerfully scrubbing at the floor with his fungus scrubber.
Lex, you notice the scarred drow moving about, it seems he still holds rank above the common soldiers, but at the bottom of the higher rank warriors. The rank and file are outfitted in chain shirts and carry shortswords in addition to their hand crossbows, but the upper ranks wear black studded leather and carry shields as well. They even move differently, though the scarred male has a bit of a limp, and holds his right hand in a curled fist.
Lia, Galingal and Topsy:
Lia, you see Topsy look at Galingal when he mentions her name, but she seems unsure what you're talking to her about. ((I don't think I was clear, but she'd conversed in Undercommon to provide her name to Lex or someone who could understand her.))
Lia, as you're working, you spot something... it's not much, but a bit of fungus the size of your pinky nail dropped free from one of the wall sconces. It casts a few inches of illumination, perhaps not a game changer, but might come in handy. At the very least, might provide a bit of comfort, particularly to the human girl who can't see in the darkness. You tuck it in your clothing, making sure none of the glow is showing.
Io, Stena and Jimjar:
"Ooo, I bet that one over there will get it first!", Jimjar says, pointing down at one of the spiders moving across the silk below. The spiders are big, large enough for any of you to ride upon... at least hypothetically.... the doing would be the hard part there. "A gold I don't have yet says that one gets the cave... bug... thing first!"
((If either of you would like to take Jimjar up on his bet, roll a d20. 1-10 he wins, 11-20, you win.))
Stena, you can tell from the various creatures you've been tasked with tossing below, that landing in the webbing would probably be a pretty soft landing, but the spiders are quick to converge on anything that hits the web. You can't see how far beyond the webbing the cavern floor is, the webbing is pretty thick, but from the lift up, you'd know it's a fair bit more than 60 ft from the webbing to the floor.

Lia chuckles quietly to herself. The madness of it all must be getting to her, for her to see humour in all of this. But it reminds her of a tale she once heard: about one monkey that couldn’t see… one monkey that couldn’t speak… and another monkey that couldn’t hear — or at least couldn’t understand anything either of the others were saying anyway!!
‘What a trio we three make! All monkeys, three!’, she thinks to herself as they work…
Lia smuggles the small piece of glowing vegetation into her rags. It’s definitely phosphorescent, but it’s like no moss she’s ever seen on the surface. Would it work as a component to cast light? She’s not sure. The proof of the casting would be in the final pudding, as they say. It would need to wait until she could sing anyway. It was perhaps something at least, maybe…
Arcana check (if needed): 21
If she knows it’s no good as a component, she would see if Io, or someone, would like it later on maybe…
During the time they work, out of the cell, (with her back to the guards and when they’re paying less attention), without words, Lia would clasp her hands together and concentrate hard to focus her Healing Hands on herself (only touch required) to try and heal away some of the aches and pains of the daily grind. And if only to feel the slight presence of her powers once again.
Eventually, back in the cell, out of view, Lia will gather Lex, and Thom, and anyone else, who might care to look. She will write “POISONS? VENOMS?”, in the dust on the floor. She’d look around for any comprehension, but then obliterate the words completely, scuffing them away with her feet.
While scrubbing the floors with the fungus scrubbers (cool!), Thom would look at Lex to get her attention, and then respond to Buddipo quietly so just Lex and Buppido can hear "Mate. Are you completely mad like the so called prince ye came here with, or do you really want to get the fork out of here? I've no time for jokes. Don't think any of us do, yeah?"
Back in the cell, Thom shakes his head and shrugs his shoulders at Lia when she writes the words in the dust.
((I was going to make a see no, speak no quip, having put Galingal and Lia together on purpose, but I forgot. Glad you're picking up my intent!))
Lia, you're fairly certain it could work, but know that it'd be one of those 'try and find out' moments. You reason that the 'moss' is not the important part.
((Nice! You slipped that one right by me! A lot of my casters have used focuses, it's kind of fun to have to delve into material components. My next caster character may have to take a pass on the focus. Where are you attempting to use LoH? While out at your worksite, or while you're being marched about? Let's have a Sleight of Hand.))
Thom, Buppido pauses in his scrubbing, sitting back on his heels as he considers the question that Lex posed to him on your behalf in Undercommon.
She translates back, "Ah, but the joke is on the drow! They want us to be sad and mopey, but I tell them the halls are lovely and the soup is the finest I've had! They want my misery, but I'll not give it to them! As far as mad... no, certainly not completely, though I am getting weary of this. I think it is time to move on soon, perhaps I'll take you with me?"
((I'm adding 'languages spoken' to the NPC list in the Campaign page. I've not been entirely consistent at times, but when you're all in the Pens together, I figure someone is translating between those who speak Undercommon or Elvish.))
((Also, a lot of things are '_____________ but fungus' figured they'd have fungal sponges too!))

She will whisper to herself,
"Long way down."
Stena gives a shake of her head to Jimjar's offer and considers if she could break something off the next bug that she could potentially use as a weapon.
Perhaps a chiton spike or leg she could snap off at a joint.
"Shhh! I don't have it right now, I owe you!", Jimjar hisses as the guards look over at you all.
Stena, the next one you pull out is a large beetle like insect, the mandibles look pretty nasty, maybe you'd be able to snap one of those off? It seems stunned enough that it probably won't bite you...

Lia is trying to see where magic works (if anywhere). Since it doesn’t work in the cage, I guess her next best hope is that it works on the bridges or walkways. So she’d try ‘while being marched about’. And if it doesn’t work there maybe at the ‘worksite’ too, but only if there’s no joy with her first try. If magic works on the walkways, she’s done (can only cast that once per day). I’ll give you 2x sleight of hand checks in that order just in case:
Sleight of hand (marched about): 10
Sleight of hand (at worksite - only if the other try fails): 6
((I’m guessing she’ll know if it works either way and the SoH is just to see if they notice? I’m guessing it’s a pretty stealthy effect though, even when it goes off? Any flavoursome glow or choir of angels (not listed in spell effects) are probably pretty discrete right?! lol))
((Yes, you're under guard. Make a Perception check, but you'd need something really high to pick up on anything additional beyond the rolled items.))
