Crinkle just stares at Triäsa you can see the defiance in her eyes. She refuses to answer you.
Triäsa you are not aware of anything that could cause an injury like the one Pardot described.
You would guess that who ever this is has been been dead for somewhere around 4 weeks. The body is in rough shape but it might be possible to identify the person.
To be clear about the fireflies. You would know that they are the only source of light in the Cellar. Crinkle is the keeper of the fireflies. The room Pardot was in seems to be where all of the adult flies were housed. There were broken jars and vials on the floor so all of the fireflies had escaped and were roaming the room freely.

Ludolf ponders what Pardot has reported. "We should try to establish the identity of the victim, but I suppose that'll have to wait until we can get access to records over who entered Candlekeep. Should we simply try to sing the nursery-rhyme all four verses and see what happens? Perhaps just do it here with just the team present?" Ludolf suggests, looking around at the others. "Did you find Klin up there?" He then turns and asks Pardot.
Just let me know what everyone's course of action is. You have a book, a Crinkle and very dead body. The world or at least the Firefly Cellar is your oyster.

Triäsa continues to stare at Crinkle for a moment. She is upset at the kenku's stubbornness but cannot really imagine who she would budge the woman at this point. "First, what do we do with her?" she says to the others. "We should probably put her somewhere... secure. Not here."
She then mumbles to herself as she thinks. "Four weeks, hmm." She then speaks up, "Would four weeks match with when we first started hearing this rhyme?" She's trying to think of the answer herself, as well as asking the others. She then looks at Pardot. "And how exactly did you find the body behind a wall? Was there a hidden door? Or did someone break down the wall somehow?"
She takes a deep breath. "Anyhow, I am not sure what we should do. Does investigating the body help at all? It almost sounds like something was inside this person's brain and got out. Perhaps that thing that got out helped lead to this. But then what is this book?" She stops, feeling as though she is just talking in circles.
"Ahh! I say we all pick a room, bring the book, and I'll sing the conclusion of this rhyme. Then we will see what happens!" she says firmly, as though she at least has made a decision.
"Perhaps just stay here."Ludolf says after a while. "We should perhaps all be here though, in case something bad happens when you sing that fourth verse. Now where could Klin be at?" He continues a bit gruffly, readying himself for whatever happens when Triäsa sings.
You look over the Tabaxi and see blood pooling from numerous head wounds. You think back to the drunken dwarf you "killed" before entering Candlekeep and you heart stops for a moment.
You are about to pronounce K'Tulah dead when Varnyr kneels down beside you and says, "She is injured grievously but I think she will live. I don't know what came over us... I hope the rest are ok..."
Klin doesn't really have anything to say. "What's the plan now?"
"I can keep watch over K'Tulah but you and your friends are in charge down here. The plan, as it were, is up to you." The old elf says plainly.
"I noticed a loose brick, and pushing at it the smell immediately overcame the rest of the room." Pardot replies, then looking to the others says, "If we're going to poke the bear, there is not likely much better time than now."as he gestures towards his musical friend and the music book.
Varnyr looks at Klin and smiles. "Well if you are looking for your friends I can help with that. They went downstairs to the living quarters looking for clues to this mess. That's last time I saw them at least. The Cellars not big I am sure you will find them soon if they are not down there."
You don't have any better ideas.
The old elf then kneels down next to tabaxi. "My my you are quite a mess... let see where is all this blood coming from." She then continues dressing the wounds with a deft and practiced hand.

On Varnyr's advice you slowly and carefully make you way down to the middle floor. You pass by the heavy stone book statue precariously hanging up the large stone table. Among the heavy shelves you see your fellow "prisoner's" tending to the others who appear to badly beaten and bloodied. A few are eating a familar appearing berries.
You don't stop and make your way down to the lowest level, through the long corridor. As you leave the kitchen you see your team standing at the end of the hallway in a medium sized room. You see Crinkle slumped on the ground next to have very heavy appearing statue of a goat with a crown on it. There are bugs everywhere... You can tell that your friends have been in a bit of fight recently as they look a bit tired and beaten. Fembris is also there and she is holding a rock.
"Klin! Glad you made it! You missed the excitement, we all starting attacking each other." The peppy little gnome starts shadow boxing. "Crinkle here punched Triäsa and Ludolf super hard. They seem OK now. I hit her right in the beak with a rock! But guess what?! We found the book it's right here! And there is a fourth verse! Something about defeating a shadow... it was crushed!! Crushed in a mill stone. Hey! Did you see a mill stone while you were away!?"Fembris seems happy to see you.
(If you'd like to sing the rest of the song feel free to do so. If you would like to go anywhere first that is also fine. Also, what are you doing with Crinkle at this point?)

"Daventry, could you please tie up Crinkle with that rope you have so we're sure she won't interfere anymore."Ludolf says just as Klin finally joins them again.
"Excellent, now that we're all here..." He says, glancing at the monk. "...perhaps we can continue." He says, motioning for Triäsa to sing as soon as Crinkle is dealt with.
Assuming Daventry got Crirnkle tied up, helping her if needed, Triäsa takes out her lute. Strumming a few notes absently, she glances to the others. She also gets the book out, and opens it, ready to play and sing along. "Here we go."

At the end her voice and music goes quiet. Triäsa looks around to see if anything happens.
Ludolf struggles to not be entranced by beautiful Triäsa's voice but the macabre text helps him remain vigilant for any threat to appear as the song finishes.
Triäsa's song fills the air and even though disturbing words and eerie tune have been ingrained in your very soul hearing the complete song outloud feels very different. Not good or sweet just different, complete. As the the room quiets nothing happens, at first.
But then the book trembles, and its mechanical inner workings squeal to a halt for a moment before whirring back to life. You hear clicks, and shadows burst forth from the book like steam from a kettle, collecting along the ceiling until wisps of darkness outline a vague humanoid figure. Meanwhile, the scenes inside the book transform, creating an entirely new picture that includes tiny cutout figures of yourselves.
The figure sneers at you all and echoing all around you hear a ethereal voice through the room, "Thank you for freeing me! Now die!"
Daventry uses some of the normal rope to tie up the Kenku, double-wrapping the bird's hands and feet until things can be sorted out after.
As Triäsa sings the song, Daventry takes out a small vial of crystal-clear water that sparkles in the firefly light. She dabs a finger into the vial, and wipes the water along her neck and down to her chest. Where her finger touches, any icy-blue glow follows, forming its own runes like crystallizing snowflakes.
