Daventry stares at the mirror, transfixed, as Ludolf makes his approach to Rudolf. After a long while, she blinks once, then looks away from the mirror, setting the book back facedown as if that will quiet the voice.
"This tome, it's like it is Sune herself trying to bless ya with some of her grace. But... well, is it like a bit of makeup, only concealing what lies below?" She moves away from the desk, looking at the rest of the party.
"The book itself has a lot of ways to meditate, to seek self-healing. Soothe the pains of the soul, rather than the quick outside fix-up from a goddess..."
Overhearing Ludolf, Triäsa says, "I suspect the dwarf is here mainly because he finally brought forth a book that was deserving of entrance."
She then glances to Bookwyrm, "It was you though who summoned us, correct? I think we might try to see if this could help Fistandia. About all I have determined is we need extremely powerful magic or divine aid to overcome what happened to her. Perhaps." Here she pauses just a moment. "Perhaps this book will give us a connection to Sune. And perhaps she will help us."
Though she sounds as though she has reservations, she also seems determined to give this a try. She steps forward, picks up the book, and flips it back to the mirror.
Ludolf is about to stop Triäsa but she seems determined as always so he instead turns and focuses on the dwarf again, making sure he doesn't accidentally brushes into Triäsa as she studies the book. "Well, do you think this book might help to cure a powerful malady?" He says sternly to the dwarf.
"No not at all sir. I was asked to come here to explain the book and answer any questions you might have." Rudolf addresses Ludolf. His eyes then wander from Triäsa to Daventry again, "I think all of you looks are... exquisite."
Ludolf's subsequent gaze and words strike true at Rudolf and he backs away from Daventry by half a step and places his hands in his pockets his eyes look down to the floor.
At the subsequent questioning Rudolf opens his mouth to speak but is promptly cut off by Bookwyrm. "This is exactly why I have called you all here Mr Crowley. As you all informed us and are aware we believe Fistandia's affliction is a loss of self or a corruption of the soul. If there is magic there that can restore or bring out one's true nature then I believe this might cure our gnome. Furthermore, if there is a direct connection to Sune she certainly would have the power to fix this. It is perhaps a long shot but it is all we have at this point. I would ask you to travel this portal and see if these sisters can help us."
As Triäsa picks up the book and gazes into the mirror she is greates by the same images of Sune who greets you as before, "Well met dearest one. How do you feel today?"
The image then shifts and Triäsa image is brought back to reflection but your appearance is veey similar to that of your mother's. Even your dress is exactly what you last saw her in. "Is there something you would like to change about yourself young one?" The book calls out to you.
Ludolf turns to Bookwyrm, trying to speak with reverence. "With all due respect Bookwyrm I have a hard time seeing this as a solution to our problem, and I'm more than a little hesitant to leave Candlekeep with our enemies moving inside our walls. I will of course do as you wish and I agree that trying to find a cure to Fistandia is paramount. But this portal, how will we find it?" He says, fearing that the team will be stuck with the obnoxious dwarf as their guide.
“I’m also curious what makes you think Sune is connected to our poor gnome friend’s issues.” Pardot chimes in, fully not understanding why anyone would care so much about their appearance to go so far as to enter another plane and make a deal with a god.
Daventry looks to Pardot. "The image shown to me... fixed something about me. Perhaps it is the same thought that could help Fistandia."
She looks to Ludolf and Bookwyrm in turn. "I still worry about the intellect devourer, though. Fistandia is stable... and if we want to find this portal, I think the mirror's the answer - the inscription calls it the gateway. My guess is respond to the Goddess in the mirror and she'll take us to paradise." She glances to the dwarf. "Sound right?"
Triäsa answers back to the image in the mirror. "I am content to be myself. Though yes, my mother was certainly beautiful. It is for another that I wish to enlist your help. Fistandia has been overcome by her exposure to the Far Realm. She is alive but not wholly herself. Could you perhaps see her and try to restore her to her true self? We would be in your debt, and extremely grateful. If not out of your benevolence, then just tell us what you would ask of us in return. We mortals could never truly repay you for such aid, but we would try to do what we can."
She then pauses, waiting to see what the response might be. (Persuasion, if needed: 25)
Bookwyrm addresses your questions before Triäsa speaks, "I am sorry if my line of reasoning is not clear. I do not think Sune herself is involved but she is the only diety that we have a direct link to. Assuming this book and the dwarf's story is true. What is clear is that power on the level of the gods will be required to restore Fistandia and it is my hope you would find it there." He considers Ludolf carefully, "Your concern about the dangers within the walls and the intellect devourer is certainly justified. If you rather chase those leads, assuming you have any, that is your decision. I would not desuade you from a course of action you have done well so far."
Rudolf then chimes in, "The portal, my dear lady, is very easy to find. You just need to tell the mirror you want to change something and the portal opens. It is rather easy."
At this Triäsa speaks and the book responds, "Yes my dear, if you are satisfied with your look, you do have a rather simple beauty, then I can not help you. I can change another. Restore the beauty and cleanse the soul is the purpose of the Restful Lily. Come visit our oasis and I shall show you the way."
Along the wall of the office dancing white and pink lights appear. They coalesce into a swirl of the bright colors and the scent of lilies fills the air. A round portal forms. On the otherside you see a Forrest with a simple dirt path that winds through the trees and out of sight.

Triäsa watches as she sees the portal opening. "Well then, it seems now is the moment to decide. The intellect devourer is a concern, but I personally think getting Fistandia restored to health takes priority. I say we take this opportunity. Shall I go get Fistandia or someone else? Who knows how long this will stay open!"
Daventry looks to Klin. "Time to shine, my speedy friend!"
To Bookwyrm,"As we've got a shiny destination to suddenly step to and no leads on our brain-eating friend... try not to get devoured, aye? We like you as you are, opposed to some scaly puppet. Same goes for Fembris and Davy. Matreous... eh."
Daventry holds ready to go through the portal with everyone else.
"This was certainly a bit sudden." Ludolf grumbles, seeming a bit uncomfortable with just stepping through this portal without proper planning. "But yes, we must find a cure for Fistandia."He adds after a moment, ready to leave when everyone else is.
“What can we expect on the other side of this…mirror?“ Pardot says, looking to the others, seemingly ready, and to Ludolf, him being the only one who has been to another plane.
Bookwyrm smiles, "You need not hurry we have done some experimenting and the portal can be opened at any point. You just need to express a desire for change and the portal opens."
"The other side is pure bliss, love and beauty. That is what you can expect on the otherside." Adds Rudolf simply.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"From the stories, The Temple of the Restful Lily is within the High Forest. Not a different plane at all Pardot." Triäsa then looks back at the glowing portal on the wall. "Not to say it is not a different plane. But those are the stories."
She then looks at Bookwyrm. " If we can re-open this portal at any time, then perhaps we should all go and get Fistandia. And do whatever is needed to prepare." With this last she glances over to Ludolf. "But I see no reason not to take care of this with haste." She then glances at Rudolf, "How long were you away when you used the portal?"
(OOC - Pardot's comment has made Triäsa think. Would she know of some way to discern if we were on the Material Plane or not? Perhaps somehow - like the component needed for [s[ell]plane shift[/spell] - there might be some magical frequency that could be discerned. Maybe a highly specialized form of detect magic? "Yes, since we can open this portal at will I would prefer to at least go back to get my gear. Would it be possible to bring Fistandia on this mission or should we investigate and hopefully bring back the means to cure her of her illness." Ludolf says to Bookwyrm, seemingly still not quite comfortable with leaving Candlekeep.
"I will also prepare some berries for tomorrow and ponder the stars in my room to see what magicks I should prepare,"Pardot says, as they are getting ready for their next mission.
Triäsa -- You are pretty sure if you take long enough to study the magic and how it interacts there you are pretty sure you could determine if it is on the current plane or a different pocket dimension. (I think an arcana roll when you get there would be the most appropriate way to figure it out. It might be difficult but it is possible)
"I was there for a few days. I took sometime relax and enjoy the... amenities... and came back once my painting was finished and my transformation was completed. There are alot of rooms at the Temple I am sure they could watch over Fistandia while she is there if you want to take her with you." He continues to avoid any eye contact with Ludolf as he speaks
Similarly Bookwyrm nods, "We can give you stretcher if you'd like to take her with you. I can have the alchemists prepare the tonic we have been giving her to keep her sedated if you wish. I suppose if you run into any troubles she might be a burden but if the powers there need her actual body it would more convenient to have her along from the start. A difficult decision to be sure."

"If it is as easy as the dwarf says to enter and exit this place I would prefer we went there without Fistandia to investigate and then return for her in the event that we actually find a cure for her there." Ludolf grumbles, keeping his gray piercing eyes on the suspicious dwarf. "I will go and collect my gear and then I will be ready to step through the portal."
Triäsa nods. "Fine, we should get our gear and then go. And I guess we can retrieve Fistandia later. Although that just seems like a waste of time. But why not? I am sure the stars falling really is no big deal. We can take our time."
