The cat looks at you yawning widely, "Seems like a lifetime since I saw her!! I am hungry..." She purrs as she joins you in your investigation.
As you leave the study and turn toward the other side of the mansion you pass the large wooden staircase to the next door to the east (clockwise). You find this door is actually slightly open and you can smell fragrant aromas of fine food. Pockets meows softly and pushes the door open a bit further as the cat actually enters the room first. She hops up onto the counter and meows loudly again. You appear to have found the kitchen. There is another door just ahead of you to the north past all the stoves and counters as well as a door along the east wall.
Unlike the other rooms of the house the kitchen appears to have been used recently and is kept in immaculate condition. Pots and pans hang from the ceiling so clean you can clearly see your reflection in them. Ludolf and Triäsa you see two small forms emerge from the back of the room. They start to fly toward the party before landing on either side of the cat at which point everyone would notice them.
The one on the right pats her head while the one on the left gives her a small piece of food that the cat eats greedily. They then turn to you all, bow deeply and speak in unison, "How can we be of help to our honored guests? Cooking? Cleaning? Mending your clothes, perhaps?”
Triäsa smiles. "These must be the homonculi that Mastrous mentioned!"
She takes a quick look about for any books that might be in here, although she is expecting few except perhaps a cookbook. (Perception: 11) "I am not sure we will find what we are looking for in the kitchen. Though if there are any books it will not hurt to look."

"You could help us by telling us what you know of the whereabouts of your mistress Fistandia. As we are searching her mansion it would also be helpful if you told us if there are any dangers about. And if you have something tasty for me to nibble on as I search this place I would appreciate it." Ludolf says to the small polite creatures Persuasion if needed to get help:24 Arcana to determine type of creature:12 (homunculi?)
Pardot joins pocket for a quick snack as the others discuss where to go next. While snacking he asks pocket, "Are there any windows to the outside here? I'd love to see the stars if it's nighttime."
"I would not expect stars in a pocket dimension Padot," although Triäsa thinks on it a little bit. "Then again, IF there were a window looking out it would be interesting to see just what you would end up seeing in it."
The creatures before you coupled with the information you learned in the basement confirm Ludolf's suspicious, they are indeed homunculi. Based on your arcane knowledge you know two critical things about homunculi; when the creator of a homunculi dies the construct also dies. A person can only ever have one homunculi at a time.
When you all ask for some food and drink the creatures quickly get to work they fire the stove and grab their finest pork belly as requested and begin preparing it. The other runs to the back and starts pour ale and wine bringing it to you quickly, "Are there any other requests? It has been ages since we have had company, oh it's wonderful to serve and be helpful again. " He then looks down at Pockets and pats him on the head, "Not that we don't love taking care of the cats of course!!" They begin cutting vegetables and preparing water to boil them. It appears you are in for quite the feast!
As they are cooking one looks at Ludolf and says, "Dangers... well I don't know that they are dangerous but.... There are some faerie dragons in the arboretum more a nuisance than dangerous. I just try to avoid them if at all possible."
As the meal continues to be prepared the pair of constructs fly between the kitchen and the room connected to this one to the east with place settings and more wine and ale. "Please please come to the dining room, we will get everything and bring it you. Oh such a grand day!"
The pair also overhear Triäsa and Pardot's conversation regarding stars, "You know this place has lots of stars, though they are inside... One of Fistandia's favorite places was the planetarium upstairs. Why sometimes she would go in there and wouldn't come out for a few days!"
Looking around you would see a number of windows throughout the mansion peering out would see the ground covered in a swirl of a purple miasma covering the ground so much so the mansion appears to be floating it. Looking skyward you do see stars.
As they actually are following through with Daventry's order, she couldn't looked more pleased. She allows herself to be ushered to the dining room. "I haven't had the coin for more than broth and dregs at most places since I left my last crew. If I can summon a pork belly and good ale with but a word, why, I almost don't want to find the exit phrase. Thank ya, little constructs. Do you have names?"
Pardot clearly perks up at the sound of the planetarium, and almost begins to forget about the search for the lettered books. But first is amazed by the food spread out in front of them. He’s never had a meal quite this grand, and has had little to eat other than goodberries for the past long while, so cannot help his halfling tendencies and begins to fully enjoy the meal. Given time later he will look outside and attempt to locate them from the stars, having no idea how a pocket dimension works.

Triäsa murmurs, "Didn't everyone just eat at The Hearth?" She continues to look about for any books in the room, and when the door to the dinning room is opened, she would look there as well. (Perception: 12)
She is interested when they mention a planetarium and that stars are visible. She mentions to Pardot, "I am quite curious now exactly what those stars represent? Does this place have its own heavens? Or is it a reflection of some other plane?"
As the food cooks, the smells starts to entice her - after all, who could resist a bit of pork belly. When invited she heads over to the dinning room. "I guess a bit of wine would be nice. And a little food, if there was enough. I mean, I did not really put in a request for anything," she says a bit sheepishly.

"Yes, well, I didn´t expect us to have dinner just yet, but as we are in no hurry I can´t see why not." Ludolf says to the others, seemingly in a very good mood for once as he goes into the dining room. "You failed to mention anything about the current whereabouts of your mistress."He says to the humunculi as the serve up the roast pork belly. Ludolf then takes swig of Luskan harvestfeast ale. "Ah, missed this I have." He says to no one in particular while looking around the dining room. General investigation of dining room while waiting for dinner to be served:18
"I agree young Triäsa, I didn´t expect stars to appear in a pocket plane, but is it astral space we see or just some decorations to the pocket plane I wonder." He says walking up and standing by the half-elven bard looking out the dining room window. "But beautiful none the less, wouldn´t you say Triäsa." Arcana to determine if the stars are real and if he recognizes any of them, particularly ones that are associated with The Great Old Ones:12
Triäsa glances over at Ludolf as he steps closer and speaks to her. "I suppose they do have a sort of beauty to them. Though far more interesting to know more about them."
"You are a true seeker of knowledge then Triäsa. I have to envy your youth, the prospect of consuming knowledge for a century to come still. I myself won´t have that pleasure I´m afraid, being a mere human in this frail body. Yet, I haven´t given up hope for transcendence. My mind is still as clear as ever and by unveiling the secrets beyond those stars I intend to continue my quest for enlightenment." Ludolfs says, still looking at the stars.
"No thank you, we are in no hurry and I want to see every room for myself thank you very much." Ludolf says and follows Daventry.
Daventry nods. "Suit yourself, Ludolf. Come along, then."

Daventry ponders a moment, leaning her thin frame by the counter. "Gods, what I wouldn't do for a roasted pork belly and a Luskan harvestfest ale."
She certainly isn't turning down the chance for a free meal.
