Daventry pulls her blade back out of her belt holster, letting the magic illuminating her hand and arm fade. She grabs a napkin and cleans the goop off her sword.
"Well, that was exciting! Wonder how a mimic snuck its way in here... first the little demon, then this."
Turning back to the constructs as they begin to clean the mess. "Cumin and Coriander, I think we'd very much like to hear more about the lady o' the manor, if you can tell us."
As she waits on the constructs to gather themselves, Daventry nods to Klin. "Wasn't the first time I've seen one. Slippery bastards, mimics are. One snuck its way onto my ship as a barrel, ate the cabin boy. Was... pretty sad, actually. Lad was good with a pan flute."
Eyeing the monk up and down. "Ambushed, you say? There's a story I'd like to hear, if you don't mind tellin'. I think we've got some time while we wait on feast, part duex."
Triäsa sheaths her sword and returns the dagger to its place at her belt. "Well, just a little dinner entertainment!" she laughs, a little bit nervously. She looks back at the mess made of the table. "Surely not all the wine was spilled!" she says as she looks for a glass and some decanter that is still upright and full.
Daventry nods solemnly. "You were lucky to have made a break for it, and made it out alive."She ponders a moment. "A second lesson, perhaps - if you're patient, your opportunity will come... just don't let it pass ya by." She finishes cleaning her blade, returning it to her belt. "This was on the way to Candlekeep? Must be close enough that the Flaming Fist or Athkatla's finest might take an interest in the bounty. Could be a good bit o' work and sliver of revenge for ya, and keep your fellow monks from finding a similar fate."
"Yes, we would really like to hear more about your mistress, but first, please dispose of that thing and clean the place up." Ludolf says to the homunculi while seeing to the book, using prestidigitation to clean it up if necessary. "Now if you don´t mind I would like to finally do some reading here." Ludolf says gruffly to the others and starts over reading the book. "Oh, and well done everyone."He adds a little less gruffly while briefly looking up from the book. (If possible he will read for an hour to regain his spell slot.)
Corriander starts cleaning and looks at Daventry eagerly, "Well the lady of the house is just a spectacular individual. She never ceased to amaze me with everything she could do but where to start? You want to know everything. That might take some time... but well I can start.... So Fistandia is wonderful!! I think I said that already... Anyways she is kind of short but I guess most gnomes are so maybe you would call her average... Not like completely average she is FAR above average but in terms of height she is average.... for a gnome... ANYWAYS, her favorite color is purple she wore alot of robes most of them purple. She really likes to read and learn and she was always trying to figure out some great mystery or puzzle. More than anything she liked to travel. But not boring places like Icewind Dale or Baulder's Gate but to new realms or planes.. She likes to eat mostly fruits and healthy stuff but she is far too important to cook that's why she created me! It is just pleasure to make her life easier. She is not fond of tomatoes though she really likes...." From here Corriander goes on a long list of foods which Fistandia likes, dislikes or is largely ambivalent about.
Between the two of them they manage to get everything cleaned up and get to preparing a new meal. Coriander is speaking to you all as she cleans and does her work so time goes quickly It is a fine feast of fruits, vegetables and meat. There is more wine and ale poured and you call can rest and celebrate for as long as you desire. (Short rest complete). You all feel sharper more alert and in tune with the dimension after your meal. Until your next short or long rest you all have a +2 to perception and investigation checks in the house.

"Thanks, but I don´t think we need any more information on your mistress´s culinary preferences now." Ludolf says sarcastically. "I feel quite envigorated by this wine though. Shall we proceed with the investigation then?" Ludolf says to the others as he prepares to move on.
Triäsa sits back down in the chair next to Ludolf. She quietly sips at a glass of wine as she listens to Coriander. She eats a few pieces of the fruit and vegetables, along with a small piece of the meat.
Soon she is finished and stands, pacing around the room a bit as others finish. Standing off to one side of the room, she slides her lute from her back. Very softly she plucks at the strings. Eventually she starts playing simple arpeggios, though in time the tempo increases faster and faster. She seems deep in thought, focused on the instrument.
Abruptly she stops when Ludolf suggests continuing the exploration of the mansion. "Yes. I'm definately ready to go."
Daventry mumbles to herself as Coriander launches into the speil, "Careful what you wish for, Davvy." She does take a good fill of the meal, though, and a pair of ales giving her face a bit of a flush. She sighs contentedly, legs kicked back on the spare chair as she digests, Triasa plays, and Ludolf does his bookworm thing.
"Right." She says, clapping her hands once as she sits up and gathering her weapon and shield from where she piled them up. "Let's sort out the rest of the manor, then. Thank you, little ones, for the meal and info."
With the others ready and rearmed and armored, she leads the way to the next door.
Triäsa shakes her head, "No, just practice really." She laughs."I guess it's from Silverymoon, in that I learned it there. But certainly not unique to us."
She is ready to peak past Daventry as she opens the next door. (Perception: 6)
Ok here is an updated map. To the far east is the abortorium which you can see through the large window wall while you were eating so I included it here. Let me know where exactly you are heading.
Also Ludolf I think you were going to read the book you found in the first room while you were eating. The cover bears the resemblance of Mordenkainen that you saw on the book that got you into this predicament. The book itself is a very easy read as the pages are blank....

"I see, an execise for those slender fingers of yours, to me it sounded like a captivating prestissimo, I feel really alert now I must say." Ludolf says appreciatively as they peer into the next room. Perception:12
(OOC: Actually I meant the book that held the command word. Wanted to see if it held any further secrets on this place. We will investigate area M9 first.)
Triäsa nods to Ludolf. "Right, have to keep my fingers nimble." There's a bit of a pause. "Perhaps I can play a proper piece later when we have a moment."
She then slips into the arboretum, looking about. Specifically, she keeps an eye out for any books. (Investigation: 19)
This end of the building is an arboretum with open, arched walls. Flowering shrubs and small trees grow between paved paths that meet in a semicircular patio. There’s no sun, but two glowing globes hang above the plants, bathing them in light. There are colorful blossoms everywhere, filling the air with their perfume. The west wall is the large window you saw from the dining room the homunculi are busy cleaning up the meal.
Ludolf -- you hear a faint sound coming from the north end of the room as you listen closer it almost sounds like giggling. (Anyone with a passive perception 12 or higher would also hear the noise)
Davenntry -- the soil all looks very well cared for and recently watered and fertilized. There is no sign of anything being buried just routine care of the plants. The plants themselves are wide variety of berries and other fruits in one area while vegetables in another and then an assortment of weeds and flowers in another.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Yes, I would much appreciate that young Triäsa." Ludolf says to the half-elven bard as they enter the arboretum.
"Listen!...do you hear the giggling? Or is it just my mind playing tricks on me again?" Ludolf says to the others, but the last part mostly to himself. Perception to see giggler:22 Arcana (?) to determine which kind of creature giggler is:16

She takes a look through some of the planters, seeing if there is any loose dirt or something recently covered or buried.
