With all of your help and magic rope it is trivial to pull Maxx up from the snake pit.
"Still alive... all of us. Surprising." The purple tiefling says to no one.
Meanwhile Gunnar smiles and picks up the lizardhead, "You see that!! One swing and whoosh! No more head!!! GLORIOUS!" He yells as he throws the head in the air and punts it into the northern snake pit.

This room small appears to be a pantry. There are doors to the north and to the south. Green meet hangs from hooks along the wall in various states decay.
Oh. I almost forgot...
There is a big green troll.
It's chained to the wall looks to be in bad shape. There are deep cuts all over it's flesh in various states of regeneration.

"Another member of your team perhaps?" Ludolf mutters to the bombastic Gunnar, as they see the chained troll. "Or more likely, infinite amount of meat for the serpentfolk." He adds in a revolted tone. "Should we perhaps put it out of it's misery?"
Gunnar shakes his head, "There are no trolls in our company. I think your later conclusion rings true." He hefts his ax, "Want me to cut its head off?"

"Using a troll's regeneration for meat? Could they do that?" Triäsa says with a shudder after Ludolf's comment. "Is there any need to kill him? Maybe we could help him. At least free him and give him a chance."
She looks at the troll, keeping a safe distance. "Do you by any chance understand Common?" she asks.
The creature weakly looks up at Triäsa and says something in the coarse tongue of giants.
Anyone can roll insight.
"And now we are considering freeing Trolls?! What kind of madness is this. Two doors, North and South. Pick one. One of the has to be the way out of here." Dandelion pleads with urgency
"One to freedom? The other to death...." says Maxx in an atonal voice "I bet they are both to death eventually."
(If this is a report sorry. I think my initial reply was eaten by airport wifi)
The troll is a broken creature. Weeks, months or maybe years of having its flesh harvested have taken the will to live from it's eyes. It looks at you with desperation and you feel confident it is no danger to you all.

"Even the simple mind of a creature such as that has it's limits, I am quite sure we would do it a service by ending it now."Ludolf says with a somewhat compassionate tone as he looks between Triäsa, the troll and Gunnar.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Pardot, pulling up his cloak scratching a bit at some itches, unwraps his staff and points it towards the troll, knowing that this will stop its regeneration, and says quietly in druidic, "Go meet your troll family."
Daventry nods at Gunnar once Pardot begins to apply fire. "With Fire or acid, that'll stop him from regenerating into a fresh set of horrors. The axe can finish the job."
She quietly nods at Tri and Ludolf, and attempts to peer through the gap in the south door to get a better read on what's going on.
Perception: 10
Not detecting anything further, she quietly opens the south door once Gunnar and Pardot finish their grim task.

Daventry nods, and looks to the east door. She checks it over for traps before quietly opening it and peering through.
