Tarvyn promises you access to what little potions he has laying around, but he hasn't had to stock them in a while. He shows you to a crate containing 4 Potions of Healing and 2 Potions of Heroism.

The journal was nearly destroyed in the storm, but after carefully piecing together some of the pages you are able to find a couple of legible words. They are written in Elvish and read "ISLE" and "SAFETY" You have no idea what they mean or what the context is, but its all you could salvage. While sneaking around the house, you are able to move undetected through the entire lower level. You don't notice anything out of the ordinary, aside from 3 or 4 of Tarvyns staff having a very clandestine conversation in the kitchen. They look very nervous and look over their shoulders the whole time.
Jarmon
"Unfortunately, that is the case. I hate to see any of my creatures die, but do what you must."

Tarvyn announces that he will retire to his quarters, and gives you all a very concerned look as if to say "See you soon..."
“I bid you a goodnight Tarvyn. Perhaps me and my friends here might discuss a few things in confidence before we retire?”

After you've had dinner and some time to yourselves you all meet up outside of Tarvyns room. Seconds after Shaede knocks the door cracks open and Tarvyn ushers you in with haste. He walks over to his bed and in a hushed voice addresses all of you, "I have some information you might need." He gestures to an assortment of scroll cases, "This is everything I know about my staff... I suspect that one of them is tampering with my creations, we need to find them, and eliminate them." Pausing for a moment almost as if he just heard his own tone he tries to adjust his statement, "I mean their employment... please don't kill anyone... You can take these scrolls, study them, start gathering clues but please hurry. I fear that if they can overcome The Tyrants mind we might all be doomed."
You look to the bed and see six scroll cases. Should you choose to open them their contents are as follows:

"Tarvyn, what can you tell us about Ersa? Seems a fair amount of staff is from there"

Shaede considers this mystery and realizing the time, he has an opportunity that he cannot miss. "Friends, let me start the investigation into Mr. Regald. It seems he takes long walks at night, which is quite odd. I will track him and find out what he is up to. Let us meet together at dawn to share some information." Shaede quickly exits the room in order to find the carpenter. Stealthily, he tracks Mr. Regald's movements in the dark utilizing his given gift of darkvision.
"Unfortunately, I had that same thought... Vorpip is a lover of my creatures though, I can't imagine him doing anything to harm them... I could see him doing something to hurt one of us, however. It is a good lead and may be best conducted in the morning. To the best of my knowledge, he turns in early, sometimes before the sun goes down fully. I always assumed it was just a gnome thing... but perhaps there is a more malicious reason for his strange sleeping routines." He grabs Vorpips scroll and hands it to you. "Study this in secret, the staff does not know that I keep such a clenched fist on them, I fear that if they find out they might all leave on their own..." He sighs and says, almost to himself; "Dad did always say to keep your staff as close as possible..." snapping out of his nostalgia he focuses back on Brom, "I get many of my staff from Ersa simply out of convenience. My family is from there, I visit cousins and aunts and uncles from time to time, check in on the families original estate, you know that type of thing.... It doesn't hurt that it is the closest of the major continents." He laughs as he answers your last question, "My, my, full of questions... I knew you would be able to help me! I met Allorah back in my time in Ralohice. As I said my university was inside the Palace, this gave me access to the Palace staff. Her family is fairly poor, by high elf standards, but you wouldn't know it. Fate had us eat lunch at precisely the same time every day, so we became quite well acquainted. She is one of my very best friends in the world. I know you aren't supposed to hire your friends, but when I finally realized my vision and knew I was leaving for good, I couldn't bear the thought of leaving my closest friend. If you want to talk to Allorah, the best chance is going to be in the middle of the day, here at the manor, she is usually finding something to clean and polish during the day."
Shaede
"Do be careful, Shaede. I do not fear Mr. Regald, but I am concerned about my creations. With them acting up like this I am unsure how they will react to you stalking about the forest..." You hear the last bit of his sentence trail off as you burst out the door. You can see the bouncing light of a torch winding down a dirt path from the manor. You take off at full speed to catch it and are barely able to pick up the trail. Thadeous walks for about two miles before abruptly stopping at a clearing. He kneels at a single stump, surrounded by some tall grass. He is covered enough that you are unable to see exactly what he does there, but it appears that he hides something around or inside the stump. After spending a couple of minutes there, he abruptly stands up and begins jogging back down the trail.....
"Well then.. I suppose we will find out about that in the morning. I, on the other hand, will go back to my quarters and sleep on it before making any assumptions of who it might be and not." Jarmon turns and walks out the door. "Good night everyone" When he arrives at his bedroom he sits down at his table and continues to work on his crossbow.

Tarvyn let's you know that Vorpip spends most of his days in the fields behind the manor. There are large fenced areas used for training. There are a couple of the small raptors in cages, they will be the next to be trained. Vorpip rises as soon as the sun does, and hides away in his quarters just before it sets again
At breakfast, Shaede informs the party of the result of his nightly escapade. "All, I followed Mr. Regald last night and he appears to be hiding a cache of some totems resembling the shape of different humanoids. Also, I inspected the bottom, and there's a symbol of a coin. I am not sure what to make of it, but totems can be very powerful in the right hand of a magic user. Being a carpenter, he may have made them himself. Maybe they are his memories of his family, I don't know. We can ask him about them, but there does not appear to be anything overly suspicious about Mr. Regald."
Jarmon looks tired after working on his crossbow for most of the night. "I have no idea about the totems, but i want to join in talking to the beastmaster. I think he could have some insight in the beasts behaviour if hes innocent, and if hes guilty i guess we could bust him. I dunno"
