"Hey, that just means whatever is still here is trapped in here with us,"Randall says with false bravado.
Ogres... ugh.

Melchor make sure to bring everyone up to speed on what Glimmer has shown him... 'Minotaurs and Ogres. They are trying to box us in. We are far from done here...'
He then takes a moment to cast Mage Armor to prepare for combat ahead...
It's quiet in the monestary and you have no problem getting to the stairs. You proceed down, and enter a large room.
The floor of this large chamber consists of loose red earth. A column of natural stone stands near the middle of the room, and a row of sturdy iron bars with a sliding cage door (currently shut) walls off the western portion of the room. A door of iron plate stands in the western wall behind the iron bars, while a similar door exits to the east. To the south, a wide set of stairs leads up.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ankita heads over to the East door and looks for any traps. Also, listens to see if she can hear anything on the other side. While she does, she also looks to the ground to see if there are any other strange footprints other than the crazy monster they fought yesterday.

[Are the southern stairs the stairs that we just walked down?]
"No bones. So hopefully they didn't feed the delegation to that monster." Randall turns a little green. "...Or maybe it eats bones....". He approaches the stone column and takes a look to see if there is anything interesting while he waits for the others to decide on their next move. Perception: 0

He smashes into the column with a loud crunch.

While the smarter folks on the team (which is pretty much everyone….including Glimmer!) spend their time inspecting the room, Shrek just stands there in the center of the room, next to the ‘invisible’ column, and impatiently clicks his crab claw in the air.
”Where’s birdy?” he casually asks Melchor. “Maybe birdie help look ahead?”
Melchor leaves Glimmer at the top of the stairs, watching, and listening, for anyone approaching from the rear (Glimmer Perception: 9), while he investigates the room the group finds themselves in - looking for anything unexpected or out of the ordinary - starting with the column.
'It's clearly a real column, Randall. Do we need to help you procure some glasses when we return to town?' he says distractedly, starting to look at the column, then he clicks his fingers, and turns abruptly towards Randall 'That reminds me...'and he grasps Randall's shoulder in a bony, gnarled grip and mutters a few quiet words as he casts Darkvision on Randall 'No more torches for you, if we end up in the dark...'
Not waiting for a response, he returns his attention to the column (Investigation: 12)
Olaerys pulls out Qarbo’s key, looking at it. “Perhaps this will help somewhere.” He goes to the sliding cage door and tries to open it, if it won’t open he looks for a keyhole to use the key on. “Let’s try to get this open.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The column is curious but after inspecting it you can tell with some certainty that there's nothing special about it. You do see some deep scratch marks and blood on it; similar with the walls.
Ankita sees some footprints in the loose red earth by the column but they don't seem to have a specific direction or pattern. Listening at the door provides no more clues as it is silent
Ankita nods at Shrek, but figures they need to find this delegation and well - there will be fights she knows that. She quickly casts shillelagh on her quarterstaff, then proceeds to open the door.
Randall wipes his bloody nose and assumes position alongside the others as they prepare to breach then next room.

The door opens with the key. A short hall leads to an open door and a larger room.
This barrel-vaulted chamber is obviously an ancient crypt. Niches along the walls hold dozens of old skeletons, some with scraps of burial cloth still clinging to their bones.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Shrek steps through the doorway with a tentative concerned look on his face - crypts always give him the creeps. He once delivered a package to a gentleman who served as a crypt keeper, and the package ended up being a box of haunted old bones to be buried! The extra tip he received was in no-way a worthy reimbursement for the nightmares he suffered from for months afterwards...
Finally gathering up enough courage, especially to save-face in front of his teammates, he steps further into the crypt and begins to inspect the skeletons for anything out of the ordinary (perhaps they were buried with fabulous weapons or jewelry, or they're covering up a secret passageway?)-
Perception (@ disadvantage due to his remaining single level of exhaustion): 6

Shrek is unsure which Skeleton looks the most promising so he heads to the closest, oblivious to the movement among the bones. As he goes to inspect the first skeleton, a zombie lunges at him.
(@Randall, yes those southern stairs in the other room is the way you came in. It's funny they described it that way since there's really no other likely way to get there.

Attack: 19 Damage: 2
The zombie, however, gets nothing but air as it claws at the surprised giant, like someone eagerly trying to snatch an anticipated package.
5 other zombies start to amble toward the party, seemingly unimpressed by visitors.
