Aranor follows Pru into the room that might be the ritual room. He helps Pru by also running his hands along the walls, looking for hidden switches or clues that would reveal something hidden.
OOC: Which room are you looking in? Looking at the map above, the top most right room is the small sitting room with the fire. The bottom most right room is the kitchen where you killed the spider. The bottom most left room is the bedroom that had the secret room.
OOC: I'm a little confused now. I thought the bedrooms were all upstairs and that's where they found the secret room. Was guessing that the ladder they went down went in to one of the areas that is just solid gray walls - the two gray areas on either side of the entrance hallway. I don't know what the layout of the upstairs looks like but was guessing one of those gray areas was the hidden room they'd already been in, so Pru was searching all around the walls of the other grey area (through the hallways, across from the statues, around the corner, etc).
But if that bottom left was the bedroom then I guess she'd search around both the gray areas.
MY Mistake. The bottom left opposite the kitchen is the large sitting room. The two blocked off areas , one was the secret room in the sitting room. The other on toward the top is the hidden room that was accessible from the ladder on the upper floor. Looking back on posts, i think the only room not searched is the small room between the kitchen and sitting room.
Going back to the kitchen, the corpse of the spider lays there inviting whatever is to come next. The door missed sits inserted into the wall. With a few good pushed it opens, revealing what looks to be some kind of storage room. Roughly 6x10 in size, smashed crates lay all over. there is a small set of steps on the far fall going down to another door.
No traps located around the door. As Aranor gives it a hefty pull, it swings open relatively easy. There is a decent side landing with stairs leading down to the dark.
Pru sticks her head under Aranor's arm to look down the stairs. She calls up her Dancing Lights and sends them ahead down the stairs to light the way. She then bows and waves Aranor forward.
Aranor makes a face at Pru and says, "Thank you, my lady." He again seems torn between being indignant and amused. He wouldn't normally put up with such foolishness; he was a knight, and they had a mission, after all. However, he can't help but admit to himself that he is becoming fond of his new traveling companions, the impudent little halfling especially. He's never met anyone quite like Pru before.
The haughty high elf, with the aid of Pru's lights, descends the staircase, his hand gripping his pommel and his eyes alert for any sign of danger.

The stench of moldy water fills your nostrils. The decent into the cellar is nerve racking. Your light isn't enough to penetrate the deep shadows on the other side of the room. The clanking of metal on stone emanates from the darkest of shadows, only getting closer. Broken caskets of old wine, shattered crates litter the floor, rats scurry everywhere and cob webs glitter in the light.

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

As you make the bottom of the stairs, the board breaks. You retain your balance with ease. As you square up and face the center of the darkened room, the lights Pru has conjured bounce off moving objects. Glints of steel and bone make their way out of the pitch darkness and into view. Four skeletons in armor and carrying swords and axes line up on you.

OOC Ooh I lost track. I thought we'd gone there. That seems to be the next place (if not the last place lol) to investigate :)
OOC Sounds good. Yes, Pru would be snooping around the one room they haven't been in then.

"This has got to be it. That door must lead to a cellar or basement of some sort," he says, heading for the door.

Pru follows Aranor down the stairs, staying up a couple of steps to let the warrior look at the door.
"Check for traps before you give it a turn, Ari," Pru calls down helpfully.

She follows everyone down the stairs into the dank cellar. "We must be on the trail, now!" she whispers.
