Samuel - You see only a skeleton and the stone you threw into the sarcophagus. The stone lays on the skeleton's crushed skull. Years spent in the moist environment have rotted the bones to little more than barely identifiable black sludge.

All - Assuming you all intend to dash from the area, Damian, Ankita, and Remi make it out of the room and beyond the door this round. Rhogarr was blocked by Remi this round, but manages to flee the next. The Battleaxe swings away at Samuel again, connecting once more.
Attack: 12 Damage: 8
Samuel is able to dash and flee the area to join the rest. The spectral battleaxe doesn't leave the small room, instead it floats in the doorway for a few seconds then vanishes.
“I have certainly learned my lesson. I hear by solemnly swear to never toss a rock into a sarcophagus so long as I shall live. My apologies, friends. At least I was the only one harmed by my poor decision.”
“Does that promise also include jars of eyeballs?” Ankita smiles at Samuel. “Are you ok? I have one spell slot left, but if you need healing I can cast cure wounds on you.”
“No problem… Eyeball.” With this Remi pulls down the left lower eyelid and presses against his eyeball with his finger as he says “eyeball” to Samuel, in some good natured ribbing.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Oh, surely he can live with the pain a while. Perhaps it will help him remember his mistakes." Damian comments and ushers Rhogarr to take point again, going back and taking the tunnel far to the east now. Stealth: 12 Perception: 3
“I’m not sure if I could stand another blow like that, but a stiff breeze won’t fell me either. Save your energies if you wish, but I also wouldn’t say no if healing was offered. I enjoy a good ribbing on occasion. I shall remember this lesson Damian. I may even write a poem or song warning other adventurers of the dangers of tossing their eyes where they don’t belong.”

Ankita smiles at Samuel’s comment about Damian and agrees, that heart is slowly softening. Before they leave the area she lays her hands on Samuel’s shoulders, looks down and closes her eyes. She says a few whispers and a soft blue glow spreads from her hands to Samuel’s body, cure wounds: 9
They head down the new hallway and when presented with the doors, Ankita decides to cast detect magic and see if any door presents more than what appears to the eye, beyond the moaning behind the 3rd door.
Remi can’t see where he is on the map, but he will backpedal out of the room, taking the dodge action, and moving 30 ft.

Remi - Ankita and Damian are behind you, blocking your exit. You can still dodge though.
The Battleaxe will swipe again at Samuel. It cleaves a shallow wound across his chest with all the solidity of a real battleaxe.

If there appears to be a way to end the attack, Samuel will pursue it. Otherwise, he will Disengage as far away as possible from this chamber.

"Fall back!" Damian calls out again and does just that, as far as he gets.
“Whoever comes through last, shut the door!” Remi calls out, backing up and fleeing the ethereal axe.

”I do enjoy your songs. If you’re alright for now, I’ll keep an eye on you as we go. And apparently so will Remi.”
"Yes, yes, I guess you have your uses Sam, you'd better cure his wounds Ankita." Damian relents as Sam apologizes.
“We will warm that heart yet I believe.“ Samuel jest back with Damian as he spits up a little bit of blood.
