Now that the axe is a safe distance away from the nest, even if it didn't make it all the way to the wall, Zithers can start using his pact-given Efreeti magic. Scrambling to one side so as not to hit any allies in melee with the rats, but still to get a clear shot at this nest of "overgrown" pests, Zithers outstretches his hands, connects his thumbs, and a cone of fire surrounds the rats as he mutters the incantation for Burning Hands. (dex save DC: 14, 14 fire damage on failed save, or half as much on success)
Mohdrak will charge at the boss rat with his weapon held high to swing it down in a mighty arc to afterwards push it away with his horns. Or the nearest convenient rat should the boss rat be already down for the count.
Attack: 13 Damage: 8 Bonus action should the attack be succesful: Hammering Horns
Immediately after you hit a creature with a melee attack as part of the Attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action to attempt to shove that target with your horns. The target must be no more than one size larger than you and within 5 feet of you. Unless it succeeds on a Strength saving throw (DC 15), you push it up to 10 feet away from you.
The largest rat screams as Amelia's dagger strikes it unexpectedly, piercing hilt-deep into its shoulder.
Round One
Cerlinde's spell takes effect, rendering 3 rats unconscious. Boss rat rushes to the sleeping rats and begins to cuff them awake. He only manages to awaken two before Mohdrak's charge catches him in the chest, and flings him backwards 10 feet. Which also helpfully pushes him out of the cone of effect of ZIthers' spell, which fries the sole remaining sleeping rat, and two of its buddies (rats 4-6 dead).
(Attack: 13 Damage: 4
Attack: 14 Damage: 4
Attack: 19 Damage: 4)
One rat leaps at the rogue, but she sidesteps gracefully, causing it to miss. One attempts to bite Durnik, but its teeth snap shut too soon, catching only a part of his barbarian furs. Jack suffers a solid bite from the last remaining rat, taking 4 hp damage.
(12,21)
Durnik swings Brunhilde and misses, but Jack's sword cleaves into his rat, causing 7 damage, killing it (rat 3 dead).
(Waiting on round 1 actions from Amelia, and Jack and Durnik if they want to take back their characters)

The closer rats seem to be occupied for the moment, and the larger rat seems like a bit of a threat, so Zithers takes aim and fires his crossbow at the largest rat. (to hit, 12; damage, 7)
Mohdrak was unamused by the rats' attempt to bit him and continued to pile on the hurt on the rat nearest to him by swinging his morning star in a swift motion downwards.
Attack: 19 Damage: 7 Likewise keep using Hammering Horns to push it away from the less armoured party members.
Rat 2 dodges Amelia's first strike, but is caught unawares by her off-hand attack, and expires.
Zithers aims his crossbow, but sneezes just as he releases the bolt, causing it to ricochet off the ceiling, and fall harmlessly to the floor.
Mohdrak once again lands a solid blow on the largest rat, pushing it away from the party, and fatally wounding it. It slumps to the floor, wheezing and gurgling, rolls onto its back, and stiffens, all four feet in the air.
( 23 , 17 )
Jack and Durnik gang up on the final rat, and it does not survive the encounter.
Combat is over, all of your opponents are defeated. There are no other obvious exits to this chamber besides the tunnel you entered from. Besides the eight corpses, there are some nests of dried grass, and several piles of droppings.
Durnik retrieves Frigga from where she landed, and begins to clean the handaxe, and (you think) whisper to her reassuringly.

“Well, we’re doing a decent job exterminating… I’ll never look at a rat the same way. Nice fighting all!” Cerlinde looks through the nest quickly for anything of interest- poking about with her staff while wearing a look of disgust. 20. Or passive 17 investigation.
Investigating the refuse in the room, Cerlinde discovers a 5-foot diameter silver disc. Adjusting her perspective, she realizes it to be a solitary silver coin. If you were ever to regain normal size and manage to enlarge this coin as well, it could be melted down into approximately 4,225 normal silver coins.
The wizard also discovers a 2-foot diameter silver lapel pin in the shape of a masque, and a tiny 6-inch shard of dark red crystal, which periodically glows like the embers of a campfire, and is mildly warm to the touch.
“Hey- do You All- realize, if we can enlarge things with us, when and if we return to normal size, we could have a lot of wealth”. Mohdrak- how much can you carry? We need to find a big diamond then we could all retire! “She smiles
she shows the shard and the pin to the others- “thoughts on these? This shard is clearly magical, I’ll see if I can figure out what it does”

hearing Cerlinde's comment about enlarging found objects with us Zithers smiles. "My thoughts exactly, let me take a look at that shard, and ill see if i can figure out what it is." upon inspection, Zithers sees if he can recall anything magical he knows of that would be similar to this shard. (Arcana: 7).
Afterwards, Zithers would like to take his knife and try to harvest at least 5 of the teeth that are in the best condition from the rats.
When Zithers examines the shard, it reminds him of his patron. Perhaps there was a similar substance visible the last time he was granted a vision of his patron's home plane?

Mohdrak took a glance at the miniature, giant, something coin. 'I'd take it along, even if it's just to see the look on the smith's face when you roll a coin in larger than a third of our group.'
His face grew pensive. If the weight was not the problem, the size might be. Not to mention he was already carrying a rather large piece of glass on his back.
'Let me give it a try.'The minotaur strutted up to the coin, planted his hoofs and lifted the silver piece with his knees to get a feel for it. After checking its dimensions, he untied his rope to slid the coin between the glass and his back with some cloth put between to protect the glass. 'If it gets too cumbersome during a fight, I am dropping it.' He said to the elf wizard.
Got about 100 to 145 lbs before encumbrance kicks in. Anything past that it's going to be dragged. Assuming Mohdrak can do so 'cause I have no idea what the weight of a 5 feet diameter silver coin amounts to.
Cerlinde says” this was interesting.. I’m tempted to explore these tunnels some more. If we encounter this spider are we confident we could handle it?”

Whichever rat is closest, Amelia runs at it, slashing at it with her swords.
Main hand attack: 15 Damage: 9
Offhand attack: 19 Damage: 9
The half-elven rogue closes the round with a solid hit on rat 2.
Round 2
The largest rat snarls in frustration and charges at Mohdrak, clawing and biting.
Claw Attack: 15 Damage: 4
Bite Attack: 9 Damage: 4
Immediately afterwards, Celinde's fire bolt strikes it squarely in the chest, eliciting a scream of pain.
Rat 2 attempts to sink its teeth into Amelia

(it weighs about the same as 4225 silver coins :) roughly 84 lb.)
To recap, your party can:
1) Go back to Erastus' workroom
2) Go back to Amos' dwelling
3) Take the main tunnel up toward the surface, near the garden
4) Explore more side tunnels along the way
5) Continue to chill out in the nasty rat den
or do something else you can think of.
(Thanks for the recap!)
