You find yourself now at the spirit lory. The prince stands out like a sore thumb everyone from different wagons looks and stares including Dorin and Millie Its late night and time for your watch.
Thufir pays no mind at all to the stares, and walks with the same confidence as always back to the wagon they are ‘guarding’ and says, “We found the beast but, as you can see, he’s far too magnificent to slay just for some horns, so tamed him instead. He’s quite the mount! Has all fared well here?”
(OOC: Once again, I called myself posting after getting the answer, only to find out much later it hadn't gone through... Great...)
Nobody tries to mirror Thufir's same approach, but is much less successful in hiding just how unnerving the stares were to him. Things eventually reach the point that he mentally reaches out for the familiar he left on watch by the caravan, and ask Yanda for a quick but simple update, if only to distract himself for a few precious seconds more.
"M-mn.. y-yes. W-we did, however, uh, procure some recompense for the, uh... w-well, semi-failed hunt?" At that point, he'd look to Lorban and make a head gesture to Dorin and Millie.

"To slay such a majestic beast would risk incurring the wrath of some druid or Sylvan lord, or perhaps the Oak-Father himself! Certainly, it would betray our mission to keep your company safe...But my companion speaks truly..." Lorban produces the golden antlers for Dorin's inspection, "They must be worth twice the amount you had offered for the hide."
Dorin nods takes two antlers and hands you a pouch with 500dragons "I think its better than killing such a beautiful, tame beast." He goes to put the antlers in the Spirit lory. Millie smiles, motions to some bowls of beef stew and a pot full, and mugs of ale "Be sure to tend the fire" and she goes to retire.
"O-of course, mam. U-uhm... a-and pleasant dreams." Nobody replied awkwardly alongside a tentative wave. He'd then scoop up a bowl in hand and a mug with his tail, before taking a seat by the fire with anyone else. Yanda perches on his lap and occasionally steal Nobody's spoon to partake of the soup. Together they intended to enjoy the meal quietly, but wouldn't deny in any passing conversations over dinner before it came time to "officially" officially arrange watches and bed down for the evening.
At some point Nobody does remark quietly to the party, "Might not be a bad idea to see if there's anyone that can speak elf among the other caravaners tomorrow." He then gestures over to the Elk.

I suppose you set up your watch but as you do Fargen notes a small figure with a big nose refiling thru one of the packs left out on the other side of the wagon.
Fargen nods approvingly as the dwarf cook accepts the golden antlers. "Dwarves are more fond of gold than beast, that I know deep down."
When Fargen spots the shady figure, he pulls out his scroll of charm person and casts it before anyone else acts . Fargen wrinkles his nose, always a bit unfamiliar with enchantments. "Play along" he whispers to his allies and steps forward with a welcoming gesture to test if the bond was forged. "Hello friend, good to see you."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fargen peers at 'Jimmy' intently at first, then smiles broadly. "Knowing is a treasure, of sorts. The name is Weld, as in a bond that never comes undone. Come warm yourself at the fire friend and share some curiosities of this caravan. What do you know is going on about the camps?"
"We ran into some gnolls out there. Maybe a raiding party. Seen or heard any trouble?"
Fargenweighs (21) Jimmy's response and intensions.
Thufir pats the golden stag and tells it to feed on any grass nearby, then looks to Jimmy and says, "Quite a brutal scene really. Is anyone missing from the caravan?"
Fargen mood shifts as the nosy little gnome mouths off. His angered is reignited by the gnome's intrusion and unhelpful responses. He shouts as the gnome walks off,
"Next time you come snooping around, I'll do more than mess with your head."
Raising the golden antlers, "We have found what we sought. Let us return to the caravan. Gods only know what the cult could be up to in our absence."
You reach the outskirts of the camp. No one has seen you yet. Insightfully Fargen realizes that the stag sticks out like a sore thumb.
