Elirion moves southeast, again assessing the situation. Gabin, standing alone in front of the creature seems to have few options left.
She pauses and discordant tones in a long forgotten language fill the cavern; the sounds are directed at the creature, but the echoes that can be heard around the cavern speak of something unnatural and jarring.
As the sounds die down she continues moving, ending southeast of Remi.

The tiefling giggles at some unknown joke or thought and trains her eyes on the remaining fluidy creature, clenching her fist and makes a smashing gesture while shouting a monosyllabic word: casts sacred flame on creature. Dex save 13 or take 1 radiant damage. She doesn’t feel the need to back up but will look behind her to ensure nothing is creeping....
When Tastie turns around to see what is behind her, she is hit with a new scent greeting her: the musty funk of decaying fabric and old furs, and the smell of rot lingering in the stagnant air. Thick pillars of moss-covered stone support the twenty-foot-high ceiling, and waist-high stone slabs dot the cavern. From where she stands, it looks like something might be on one of the slabs, it looks different than the others.
She nods in approval at Elirion’s deft handling of the situation. She looks at the disgusting filth on the wall, takes a dagger and tries to scrape some of it off, while trying to avoid any aromatic unpleasantness...
E'lar, in the rest of the minute that he has his spectral club, will poke it into and other crevices, pools, etc in that cave to flush out any more acid blobs.

Remi looks down at the hole in his side and the scarred flesh from the acid, wincing as he examines the wound. “I’m still hurting but I can make it. Depends on what lies ahead. Just hate how it damaged my armor. That is going to leave a mark.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Tastie is able to scrape some of the mold off into her hands, but it just crumbles once it leaves the wall. The scent is not coming from the mold, but it does have a damp creepy feeling to it. She looks back up to where she had scraped it off, and the mold had come together to cover the hole she had created.
E'Lar directs his club to poke around in the remaining pools and crevices in the back area of the cavern. Luckily nothing appears to be moving or responding to his prodding. Though just about Lanky is about to turn away, Lanky does notice something shiny reflecting off of the spectral light of E'Lar's club where the two oozes were.
Once Gabin enters the large cavern, he can see that the stone slabs are coated with blood and filth, on the middle one appears to be a man completely still, even with all the commotion their party is making - he strains to look to see...it's Landee, the bartender!
"Landee!" Gabin whispers loudly. He begins to rush over, but then stops, remembering how he had been fooled before. The darkness hidden within his golden irises begins to swirl and expand as the light in his hand is extinguished. He turns to the others and holds up his hand, gesturing to be wary and hang back, and then he is gone.
Gabin has only experienced the sensation of channeling the dark taint inside himself on a few other occasions. It made him feel unclean and vulnerable, and reminded him of his failure. The darkness in the room seem to Gabin to stretch out towards him. Reaching. Clinging. But he moves, invisible, to Landee's side and attempts to ascertain whether this is truly Landee, and if he is still breathing.
Realizing everyone has moved ahead, Elirion hurries to catch up, moving near to Remi and gazing around the cavern. She sends Arara to scout the boundaries of the room looking for threats.
Arara Perception: 7 (rolled advantage for Sight/Sound, passive 18)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Standing beside Elirion and noting Gabin disappear, Remi starts to gaze around the room, looking for any movement, any sign of the creatures speaking in our heads.
Gabin, trying to learn from past mistakes, swiftly takes this chance to become invisible. Being as unaccustomed to this state as he is, he still manages well as he heads over to what appears to be Landee to check on him. The man looks wildly at him with his eyes wide open and bloodshot. He is obviously alive and awake, but looking into his eyes, you can tell he has been injured and isn't quite in his right mind.
Lanky pulls out an adamantine rod that is tipped with a glowing crystalline eye. Is is dripping with the ooze... and as Lanky holds it out and away from his body, he joins the group, but can't seem to find Gabin.
Elirion joins the rest and sends out her owl to check out the boundaries of the room. She does not spot any threats, just the remnants of other victims lying on the south side of the room, decades of belongings shed by transformed meenlocks and left to rot. Heaped piles of bones, clothing, boots, rusted blades, and splintered bows and arrows rest within the recessed portions of the walls. The rest of the walls and pillars are all covered with the thick moss.
As Arara starts heading back to Elirion, she does notice the pillar South of Landee has a candle-like object attached to it, partially hidden beneath the moss. Remi does not see any sign of the creatures they ran into in the mayor's house.
Remaining unseen, Gabin gently places a hand on Landee's chest and let's a soothing light spread out, healing him for 4 points (Healing Hands).
Still not feeling entirely at ease, but acclimating to the sensation of touching upon the darkness within himself, Gabin contemplates holding on to his invisibility for a while, in case more threats emerge. He walks over to E'lar, figuring him to be one of the least likely to take a wild swing at a disembodied voice, and says, "E'lar, it's me, Gabin. I found Landee, and he is not looking good. I am going to remain out of sight for a little, but I fear trying to communicate with Landee while in this... state, might freak him out and make things worse. I gave him some treatment, but do you think you could talk to him?"

Elirion's terrible sound wracks the creature and it falls apart in pieces. The threat is now dead. You are out of combat.
“That thing burned me up. Glad it is dead, don’t touch it! What is that smell?” Remi turns to look at Tastie and the way behind them.
