Gabin shudders as his wings fade away and the glow in his eyes diminishes. He turns to E'lar. "What do we do? He looks in no condition to return on his own, and he certainly can't come deeper with us... Gah, I was never trained for situations like this."
Lanky starts looking over the pillars while the others are talking to Landee, looking for a mechanism or something that can cause the pillars to explode. Echo will use echolocation to help Lanky find little crevices. Investigation: 13
Elirion starts walking around cautiously, looking at the bodies and making a count - only 3. She continues to the other two large pillars in the room with Tastie to investigate what is going on. On while on the SE pillar, they notice the candle shaped sticks attached to the pillars with a wire connected to a trigger hidden within the moss.
While they are looking at that pillar, the last meenlock tries to sneak in from the NE entrance to the other pillar that is still standing. Everyone in the room notices him though before he gets to it...
As the rest are trying to gauge what is going on in the room, E'Lar starts questioning Landee further and try to figure out what happened to him. Looking him over, he can see the gouges the meenlock's claws left across his chest and upper leg. Looking into his eyes, he appears manic and E'Lar figures that the creatures have been messing with his mind. He slowly registers what E'Lar asked, "Yes..yes..Lukas sent me" E'Lar believes he is telling the truth, it appears as though the boy is really trying to break through the madness and answer his questions.
The meenlock that is obviously hurting but trying to make his way to the pillar is stopped by Gabin's blast, singeing him a bit more and pushing him back 10 feet. E'Lar's bells do not appear to make a difference to him, but Lanky's mind sliver is too much for him, and he goes down in a heap.
Elirion nods in satisfaction, "That's four of them. Can anyone disable or, better, collect, whatever they were using to destroy the pillars? It might come in handy later."
When they have finished with their searches, she looks expectantly at Remi, and resume her position toward the middle of the group.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Remi asks for Elirion’s help with the remaining columns, bending down and with her direction and assistance starts to disable the mechanism, attempting to disarm and prevent it from exploding.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
((I know it's after the roll was made, but if DM will allow it, when Elirion asked if someone could try to disable the explosives, E'lar would have provided guidance to whoever is making the attempt.))
"Anyone hurt?"
((How severely is Landee injured? I think the party is a bit dinged up, but not too bad?))

The group succeeds in disarming the last two of the triggers for the dynamite on the remaining pillars. Once the fourth meenlock is dead, you can see an obvious change with Landee, he seems to come back to himself. (He is pretty hurt, has a hp or two left) but he appears to longer have the anguish in his mind that he had before.
While you all were making the area relatively safe, he has time to collect his thoughts and can speak a little more cohesively now. "Thank you. Thank you all for making it here on time. I, I was asked by Lukas to come find you and warn you. After you had left he remembered there were creatures here that gave you nightmares and worse. I tried to catch up and tell you," he looks down sheepishly, "But once I got to Vermeillion, I was captured by one of the creatures while you all were in the large house by the tree. I, I could not, not move and it was so scary, and they dragged me into this huge cave and gave me so so many nightmares.." he trails off and begins to sob uncontrollably.
As Lanky is verifying the rest of the meenlocks are definitely dead, one of them has the remnants of travelers clothes upon them. Rags now and not much there, just enough to notice. As they look around, they can tell that they have cleared the cave, no other entities remain.
Remi hears the tale, a visible shiver comes over him. He seems lost in his thoughts, looking far away.
Screw this place. Gives me the shivers. I can find somewhere better than this. Could never admit it to anyone, don’t want to harm my reputation, but this place creeps even me out. To think I could have become one of those things! Turns my stomach. Oh well, back to the drawing board…

Elirion stares with undisguised distrust at Landee but says nothing of it. Could be the truth. she grudgingly acknowledges.
She spends a moment trying to pierce any physical or magical disguise that might be on the lad and says to the others. "We should find any more of these creatures -- or their servants -- and end them." He gaze continues to linger on Landee.
As Elirion watches Landee trying to decipher if there is any disguise - she finds none. Landee responds to Lanky, "I've only seen the four that held me."
As the group is checking out the cavern, they also notice that it isn't as creepy as it was before. No more feeling of being watched, no more hairs on end, or random whispers in their ears. Even the shadows seem to have receded a bit in their torchlights.
"Um, if you don't mind, I would like to see the daylight soon... um, when you're done with those things..."

Remi keeps an eye on the entrances to the room, moves to one of the pillars to guard it.
