Delphinium likes this simple approach. Charge forward and solve the problem. This was something Delphinium could get behind. So on high alert they try to keep an eye out for anything like traps, goblins or other dangerous surprises (Perception 16) "So, Sir Didymus! How did you get your title? Are you a knight? You sound like a noble kinght. I bet you're a knight right? Can I become a knight too?" They continue to flutter with the lupine easily keeping pace with their quick wings while looking around and trying their best to be a good vanguard. It doesn't take the fairy's friends long to start to follow. The fairy smiles at them all as they one by one start to follow their new companion Sir Didymus. Hoggle is the first yelling to want to stay with Sir Didymus and Ludo.
Kerwyn being next to follow but seems to keep their distance a bit behind Delph and Sir Didymus. Shavaris runs to catch up to the quartet of Ludo, Sir Didymus, Hoggle and Delph. She talked to Hoggle a bit before they caught up to the others. She seems to be trying to mend fences with the dwarf so Delph follows suit as Hoggle and Shvaris catch up Delphinium says to Hoggle "You can join us in the vanguard but no anti-fairy stuff okay! I'm a good fairy so we can be friends. I also punch really hard. Is it Piggle or Hoggle?" Johnathan also catches up and tells Delphinium they can't just run off. Delphinium huffs a bit and says "I didn't run off! First I flew. Second I followed Sir Didymus who seems very confident. Third I can handle any danger! I'm really strong you know. Also, I can fly if it gets too dangerous." When Shavaris begins to talk to a bright blue worm Delphinium looks down and Flutters to their height and says "Hello! I'm Delphinium! Or Fireflight. I like both names. Who are you? You have a very pretty blue color. Reminds me of flowers." they look to Shavaris "Oh, are we looking for a way through the maze? Well, lets say hello first because its polite then I can fly up and see where to go. However, we do appreciate any help Mr. Worm."
Shavaris is a bit unnerved that Jareth was also following them, she would have been happy if he waited for his last friend outside the labyrinth, but it is what it is. She smiles at the little worm and heads back to Hoggle. "So, are you able to lead us through to the castle then?" she looks both ways down the long corridor.. "which way now? Would it help if Delph flew up and took an aerial view of the place?" Speaking of Delph, she looks back to them and sees Johnathan and Delph arguing again. "This is not helping, Delph, we know what you can do, right now though, we need to focus."
"I am, in fact, a Knight!" Sir Didymus exclaims with excitement. "Oh, oh, it was long ago, in the Battle of the Bog of Eternal stench, when I first banished the Catoblepas Horde from the big back into the Winding Depths! Ah, you see, I gave them a little of this.."
He bounded forward, thrusting with his maul and barking wildly...
"...and some of.... THIS!"
He lunged again, his maul flailing... And barking insanely.
"And and and...the finale! Never had their been a more epic battle! When it was over, the Bog had become my duchie, and mine to protect!"
"Hoggle!" Hoggle answered Delphinium coarsely. "And meh...whatever you are, you keep behaved, got it? I've been dealing with destructive little flies for years! Biting everyone! Breaking things! The pranks, oh great goddesses the never ending, horrendous pranks and trickery! This one time, they enchanted the fountain so that uh... Anything that was drained into it sprayed back out into your face!"
Then it was the little worms turn.
"Me? I'm Mr. Crawley." The worm said, with a self important nod. "I am a mighty sorcerer! Or warlock! Something. But thank you Firefight! I like your wings!"
"I can lead you through yeah... But the Goblins are on the move." Hoggle said to Shavaris. "It's gonna be nasty business."
Delph gets right into Sir Didymus' story telling as they reenact with them saying "Oh! Like this? And this? Oh! How about this? Then they fell to your mighty skills like this?" Delphinium mimics a fight with the lupine ending with Delphinium pretending to be slain and laying on the ground. They sit back up and say "Wow! That's amazing. You really are a great warrior aren't you! Oh! Oh! Let me tell you some of my own tales..." Delphinium then shares some tales of their own, calming bears, chasing off hunters and other such stories from Delph's adventures. At least until the rest of the group caught up and then they all began to talk together.
"Okay, So Hoggle. Why did your friend call you Piggle? That's a fun name too! Do you have to choose only one? I have two names myself. My friends gave me the name Fireflight. Sounds really strong. I think that sounds like a really funny prank with the fountain. I don't bite though. I punch! Oh! Hold on Hoggle, I think Johnathan wants a word with me." The sequence of events of Delph's many conversations unfold rapidly as they begin to argue with Johnathan only to be chastised by Shavaris "but.... but... Shavaris! He's wrong though. I didn't run off at all. I flew off at best. I followed my new friend Sir Didymus. Did you now he fought off an entire horde of Catoblepas? Drove them back into the winding depths! Now Sir Didymus rules a place called the Bog of Eternal Stench!"
Delphinium seems exited as their conversation shifts to the blue worm and Delph politely bows to them and says "A delight to meet you Mr. Crawley. I like my wings too! Thank you for complimenting them! If you're a mighty sorcerer or warlock would you like to aid us on our quest? We go to fight Blix and rescue a unicorn!" Delph also kind of half listens to the plan of having Hoggle lead them all into the maze and their concerns about the goblins being on the move. The tiny fairy adds "I could fly up to spot them before we run into them. Then you could guide us through the maze so we don't get caught."
Great. Now we have a talking worm. I didn’t sign up for this. Johnathan looks drained at this comment. He tries his best to avoid its gaze, he just can’t take much more. He thought it was much with the arrogant knight that blinded Delphinium. Now they have this thing. Please tell me we are not relying on a worm for guidance. He looks to the others but he knew he would lose this fight. With Delphinium loving anything cute and Ward wanting to free all the animals he knew what was about to happen. He just couldn’t see a way out of it. And I thought I would be the crazy one in this band. How did this happen? I used to have dreams, dreams that I would save the world. Now my life is in the paws of the fox and the slime of a worm. Out of everyone in this new freak show Johnathan grew a respect for Hoggle, a serious warrior who just wants to get the job done. Someone who sees this craziness and moans about it.
Goblins ahead. Finally something to hit. Little fox you have big talk and like to show off your “combat” skills but remember this is a dangerous area. So please stop with the flare and show and let’s just get this over with. With that Johnathan gets his hand sup and is ready for a fight. He was tempted to Echo to scout but he needs his senses with him if they are about to fight.
Kerwyn rides Ole Ironsides in the middle of the group, taking it all in. He notes Jonathan incredulously looking on as well. “What is next, are we going to follow an ant through this place? We need to get this show on the road!” He looks at Mr. Crawley and makes sure that Ironsides stays a good ways back from the lunch worm.
“Lead on, Foggle. Blast them with your hose if you have to. I’ll be on the lookout with my glaive.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Oh, oh! Yes, yes exactly like that Sir Delphinium, yes!" Didymus exclaims excitedly as he bounces in his saddle and watches Delphinium put on their show. Didymus keeps bouncing as Delphinium relays their own tales, his eyes growing wider and wider at the tales of excitement and daring. "Bravo, Sir Delphinium! Why, when you, Ludo, and I reach the Castle Beyond the Goblin City, it'll all be over as surely as we'll summit the steps! Hm!"
Hoggle listens to Delphinium and looks on skeptically, starts to say something, then shuts his trap and looks annoyed as the Fairy zooms away before he can get a word in edgewise. Then he shrugs and continues leading the group through the Labyrinth.
"Oooh!" The worm says with excitement as Delphinium turns their attention on him. "A unicorn! Ooooh, oh! Oh! I could...!"
And, without saying another actual word, the worm begins to matter a string of sounds and pseudowords, miming and sputtering up a cacophony of implied magical attacks as though raining hellfire and ultimate destruction down upon some imaginary foe.
"Right you are, Sir Johnathan!" Didymus exclaims, looking more vigilant before and waving his maul about menacingly. "Luckily for thou, I shall keep thee safe! There are no Goblins nearby, or I'd smell them!"
He nods for self confirmation.
Hoggle cocks and eyebrow at Kerwyn and mutters something.
The journey into the Labyrinth starts off uneventful. Hoggle leads them down several corridors that are straight any many miles long; so long, in fact, it seems impossible that they have traversed them when they end, and still like they're larger, or rather longer, than the wall the sealed the Labyrinth from the outside world. They walked through the walls more than a few times, and past some thousands of eye stalk plants.
Then something strange happened that had never happened in the Labyrinth before, according to Jareth; night fell.
Which meant time was moving forward in the Labyrinth, which he explained was supposed to be beyond the capabilities of the realm the Labyrinth existed in.
And as this night fell and time moved forward, a strange storm brewed overhead, with rolling thunderheads, and clouds that seemed to billow into and out of themselves, dark and menacing, and flashing of unseen lightning that were golden in hue as they crawled over the sky...
They stopped to rest in a wide open courtyard amidst many hedges and statues to rest.
The group hears before they see as something approaches from the darkness beyond the walls of the courtyard, a rhythmic clanking of metal and banging of wooden doors.
Rounding a corner and coming into veiw, the party sees a small humanoid, possibly goblinoid?, either way a hunched and shrunken looking man with long strawlike white hair and matching moustache, poking out from beneath a heavily patched and hooded robe that covers the majority of this beings form. It's stance is very much hunched forwards hands purses infront of it, highly reminiscent of how a pangolin holds itself, and upon the back of this maybe 3-4ft creature is another 3-4ft of junk! a whole cabinet sits behind an upholstered chair, which has tied to it a brightly coloured musical instrument, a chest sits under the chair with another chest swinging in a homemade rope net amongst other junk attatched to the side of the cabinet, the handle of some kind of blade and the shaft of some tool sit forwards over the shoulders of this creature within its reach, everything moves with the creature, attatched to it via a series of ropes and bindings.
As it advances upon the party it seems distracted, looking feverishly around itself more than in front, searching for something. This searching and finding is accompanied by noises that the thing makes; a discarded broken scabbard "ooooooooh yeh yeh yeh" into the junkpile it goes, a particularly shiny stone "mmmmmmh shiny... shiny gem?" in the mouth it goes, CRUNCH, "pleh, no no no rock plehhh" he spits it out and continues searching.
at this point it locks eyes with the party. "AAAAAGH!" it turns and begins hobbling away clanking as it goes.
As the worm starts spouting off all sorts of things, Shavaris gives it a wide berth as they move on down the labyrinth.. on and on and on.. As Jareth talks some of the labyrinth and how night never comes, she wonders how that is even possible? Makes her think of Johnathan and she looks over at him, wondering how the sun has been effecting him lately.
With the storm rolling in, she is greatful for a rest, her legs exhausted after all the walking. Right when she is about to get settled, she notices the creature and wonders what it is looking for. Just as she is about to call out a greeting, it turns and runs! "Hey you! Wait a minute, we aren't going to harm you. Can I ask what you're looking for? Maybe we can help? And maybe you can show us a shortcut to the castle?" she darts a quick glace to Hobble wondering if that last comment offends him or not.

The tiny fairy brightens right up at the thought the three of them could take on all enemies. Delph definitely agrees and seems excited to get going. They offer a ride for Mr Crawley he mighty sorcerer, if they want, on Sir Didymus' might doggo steed then they proceed forward. Its quite a complex maze but Hoggle seems to know where they are going. Delph doesn't seem worried at all as they flutter. They do pop up into the air every now and then to see if any goblins are near. After peeking they always come back down to talk with the rest of the group. This would repeat many times and Delph would be making a very good impression of an elevator. They do their best to keep an eye out for things as they progress at the very least. (Perception 27)
As they travel Delphinium even takes a bit of time to poke an eye here or there from the multitude of eye stalks. The fairy seems like they are on the verge of boredom when they come across a moving talking pile of junk! Delphinium sees they try to flee but they seem kind of slow to the tiny fairy. They zoom around like a blur of blue lightning to get in front of them and say "You shouldn't just leave! There are dangerous goblins around! Also, its rude to ignore my friends calling out to you. Hi, I'm Delphinium, or Fireflight, whichever you like! What's your name?"

Johnathan wasn’t in the best mood as they travelled. The knight was beginning to irritate him beyond his limit. If that fox wasn’t a guide… Johnathan was surprised by the comment of nightfall. Time doesn’t work here normally? That’s strange. Is it because a new ruler is on the throne and they wish for night? A part of him was relieved to have some shade at least, the sunlight can get very annoying. But it also meant something was happening that shouldn’t be, which can only mean trouble ahead. As they come for a rest Johnathan tries to block the noise of the knight. He pulls out the stone he showed the others earlier and was tempted to cast silence on it and throw it at that fox’s head. But again they need it, for now at least.
The sound of a clanking creature approaching puts Johnathan on high alert. He turns to see a clocked figure with a strange, thing I guess you would call it, on it. The size of the creature was concerning. Is this a goblin? Johnathan sees the others being friendly to this thing but Johnathan wasn’t so easy to convince. He pulls his hands out and black flames coat them as he points his arms to this thing. State your business, we haven’t got time for an ambush. Johnathan never did like goblins, so seeing one on its own is unsettling. Johnathan looks around to see if there is anything else nearby. There must be others nearby, this is a trap. Perception: 11
Mr. Crawley goes with Delphinium with little struggle. The worm laughs maniacally as the Fairy lifts him into the air and they fly away, going on an adventure into the Labyrinth.
Jareth looks at Johnathan and has a skewed smirk, but only for a second, before composing himself and smiling.
"Time only works when I tell it to work. At least, when I control the Labyrinth. But I don't control the Labyrinth now, and Goblins are good to control their bowels. You think they can control time? Of course not. My, look there. Haven't seen one of those wretches ever escape the junk fields. Ghastly little bugger, isn't he?"
Kerwyn looks long and hard at Jareth, “Yeah…. ghastly.” Leaving little doubt who he is talking about. He turns to talk to the others. “Hey, do y’all know what the hell that is? The junk man? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anything like that before.” He nods along when Shavaris speaks up. “A shortcut, that’s what we need right about now.”
He turns and looks for him, finds him and says “Hey ah, Goggle. Do you know of any short cuts, ways to get out of here? To make it to the castle? How much farther?” He pulls up close to him. “Cause you know, I’ve bet you’ve got to go right about now, don’t ya. You know I was noticing that your stream wasn’t … well it wasn’t the best. Like I bet you aren’t peeling the bark off any trees if you know what I mean. Just watch out for your feet when you have to go. Now there’s this herb I heard about from Father Aelas back home, his bladder must have been the size of Castle Grayskull… it’s called saw palmetto or something like that…” he trails off.
"Rude!? no no no..." the walking junkpile exclaims, still slowly moving away from the group with the Fairy following around it, Once the two are at somewhat of a distance from the group it begins trying to swat at the fairy with its stubby arms. "you are friends with that ****** Goblin King!? yeh yeh, Travin can't trust you, hmmmmph!" whatever descriptive word this 'Travin' used to describe the goblin king it filled his shrill scratchy voice with venom, and was in a somewhat familiar Goblinoid tongue.
Shavaris glares at Jareth as he again talks in riddles to Johnathan. Why were they even traveling with this man? She delights in Kerwyn blatantly calling him ghastly. When Kerwyn continues his uh, chat with Hoggle, she puts her hand on his shoulder, "I'm not sure what all Hoggle has done, but remember, Jareth is the one that sent the dreams, he might have had something to do with what was included."
She rolls her eyes as Delph flies off to the strange creature that apparently tries to eat rocks? And follows after them, "Delph! Leave the poor creature alone. Travin? Is that what your name is? Mine's Shavaris. Oh, and the goblin king? We are definitely not friends with him, we're trying to shake him. Got any ideas?"
"AHH!" The junk person literally jumps as Shavaris begins speaking, apparently having a blind spot to their rear, As he jumps his head, legs and hands disappear to somewhere within the depths of the junk pile and it clatters to the floor in one piece, spinning a little like a coin, yet seemingly inert.
Once Shavaris finishes speaking, there is a weak voice echoing from within the pile "Travin is Travin! yeh yeh...." there is a thoughtful beat before the creature continues, "Odd, no? odd that Travin escapes the junk fields, Odd that the king is out of his castle, no? odd that night has fallen in the labyrinth, odd odd odd.." hesitantly and warily a head pokes out, wide fearful eyes magnified by a set of thick lensed goggles peer between the Elf and the fairy, "Shavaris... Delphiniun fireflight... what happened? mmmmmmh?"
Ward shakes his head and sits down on the ground. "There are truly days when I wish I was fully organic." Pulling out an old dented flask and looking at it for a moment before putting it away. "Delph, I believe we will need to talk this out so do please stay near." Ward says, pulling out some tools and beginning to do something as glimmers of druidcraft come off of him. "Ward by the way. A pleasure to meet you Travin." Ward says waving his arm to the creature

P: The Traveling Ward: Natural Napalm Enthusiast. (AURYN: The Hunt For The Last Unicorn.)
"You know...I just realized somethin'." He said, his icy eyes staring at the Fighter. "You're one of those perverts who likes short people and getting pissed on, is that it? Well I ain't buyin' it! You keep your nasty little pervert thoughts in your nasty little pervert mouth! Hmph. Until then, you find your own shortcuts."
The Dwarf seemed to sulk after that and retreat in on himself, moving away from the group once again.
"You assume." Jareth says to answer Shavaris's statement. He leaves his reply at that.
The rolling magical storm intensifies some overhead. There are flashes of the yellow-gold lightning from behind the clouds, and a breeze that is simultaneously hot and cold blows across all of them, gentle with all the threatening of a knife on the throat.
Johnathan lowers his arms once he realises that this creature wasn’t a threat. He almost felt bad for the thing, but he knows that he can’t trust it yet. Johnathan looks at this strange creature and speaks. You live in the labyrinth? I only thought goblins lived here. Unfortunately we do have the previous Goblin king with us, and he seems to have lost his mind since then. Johnathan smirks as he gives a glance to this fallen ruler. He is no threat, so don’t stress yourself, Travin I believe you call yourself. The names Johnathan.
Johnathan looks like a human who is around 20 years old. He has a red goatee with a hood covering most of his features. But the most obvious thing about Johnathan is his pale skin. He looks as if he hasn’t seen the sun in years and is almost unwell. His eyes have a tiredness in them as he speaks to the others. On his side there is a crossbow, nearly spotless and unused, along with a finely crafted wand. Johnathan wears a black coat to cover most of his body, making it difficult to see the rest of him.
As Johnathan is having this conversation he notices that Kerwyn is teasing Hoggle. He wasn’t sure why he was still fighting with the dwarf. He only told a your mamma joke after all. Kerwyn that’s enough. I don’t know why you are trying to upset Hoggle but we need to work together. This is a dangerous area and it’s only gonna get worse. Has no one thought that this was too easy? There have seen no guards, no defences. We are just walking through. This is a trap. So whatever beef you have with Hoggle can we please hold off until we have dealt with Blix.
Shavaris looks to the sky, and Travin's words sink in. So many things are changing, are particular changes just due to the dethroning of Jareth? Or was this deeper like the addition of another sun? She wonders about the other two bands, as they were all scattered across Hyberia and of Delph's family and the Deku tree. She shakes her head, no time for this.
When Travin comes out of his uh, shell, she answers, "Well, the supposed goblin king is here instead of in his castle, so that might be part of it? Care to join us? Maybe you can help with the fairy/worm/fox issue we seem to have."
As Johnathan pulls Kerwyn away from Hoggle, she heads over to the little dwarf and hunches down. "Look, I don't know if it was some crazy dream our fighter had about you, or you bringing up trama about his momma. Either way, we're all stuck together and if you ignore him, I'd say you've been treated fairly enough and we can keep moving? This storm that's brewing, do you know of any place we can take shelter that's nearby? It's making me a bit nervous."

DM of AURYN: The Measure of Devotion - Escape from New York

DM of AURYN: The Measure of Devotion - Escape from New York
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Rude!? no no no..." the walking junkpile exclaims, still slowly moving away from the group with the Fairy following around it, Once the two are at somewhat of a distance from the group it begins trying to swat at the fairy with its stubby arms.

Hoggle's eyes narrow at Kerwyn.
DM of AURYN: The Measure of Devotion - Escape from New York
