Travin walks through the door and slaps the knob on the opposite side of it, hissing back in response to the Doors previous rudeness, he giggles a raspy little giggle as he goes. Once in the corridor Travin to tries to pick and eat one of the eyeballs growing on the stalks. He seems to have forgotten why they are there again, and dawdles by the entrance for a little longer than the others, humming to himself and generally not paying attention.
The walls are covered with the strange moss with eyes growing on top of the stalks. It grows in huge patches, and these patches are scattered up and down the length of the corridor in all directions. As the Dawn Guard moves past, Ol' Ironsides takes it upon himself to sample the local delicatessen and scrapes some off the wall with his mouth as he goes, chewing up eyeballs and all.
The corridor leads them to an opening, where the stone floor deltas out into a large platform and wide walls. There are two gates at the end of this platform, with two tall, lank, Lupine guards before either of them. They're talking softly to one another...
As Ward notices the two guards he will quickly turn invisible and whisper to the group. “I’ll stay to the side for the moment, if they get rowdy I’ll get them from the side.” He says before moving away from the group and slowly mirroring the groups movement towards the guards.

Johnathan gives a cautious look at the eyes on the walls. Once he sees that they aren’t a threat he continues with the others. As they approach he sees two figures talking with two gates to go through. Guess we better as for directions. Johnathan gives a nod to Ward as he goes invisible, approving his approach. Johnathan walks up to the guards and speaks. Are you some sorts of guards? We are looking to pass through. Johnathan stops to see if they are about to attack, still very cautious of this place.
Kerwyn gives a laugh as Ironsides works on cleaning / eating the eyeballs off the walls of the corridor. As they approach the two gates he strains to hear the conversation that the guards are having, and to see if he can understand them.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Delphinium seems to not notice ironsides eating all the plants as they focus in on the two lupine guards. the pair of gates was curious of course but when they saw more of Sir Didymus' race they get excited and want to get to know them. The blue blur of energy from eh fairy rapidly approaching them. They flutter up to them and say "Hello. You two seem like handsome lupine. I met someone that looked like you. A Sir Didymus. Would you happen to know them?"
The guards are still turning to face Johnathan when Delphinium races up. One of them jumps, startled by the Fairy's sudden appearance. One is trying to talk to Johnathan as Delphinium bombards them with questions, and they look at each other confused for a moment.
"What?" One says.
"Who?" The other says.
"What? Yes! Yes, we guard this gate!" The first said, collecting his thoughts and talking to Johnathan. "There's a test that must be passed to...erm...pass!"
"Who? Didymus? I think the name rings a bell, yes yes." The other says to Delphinium.
Kerwyn walks up to where the gates are, Ironsides slithering up behind him. "Hello, what have we here? A test you say? What is it, do you want to know my favorite color? I'm pretty good at sports, is it a competition?" Kerwyn begins a series of deep knee bends, stretches, loosening up his calves, and does a few jumping jacks, push ups.

Delphinium seems excited about the prospect of a test. "Oooooo, a test? This sounds fun. A pity you don't know my friend Sir Didymus, he told me he guards a bridge. I guess you guard a gate. Are you both knights as well? Anyway, what kind of test? Like a quest test, a knowledge test, a skill test, there is a lot of tests and a lot of them are fun. Look like my friend Travin wants Ward to go first! Alright Ward! You can do it!"
Shavaris heads up to the two guards as well while her friends barrage them with questions. "A test you say? How interesting. Can you tell me which of these gates lead to the castle? I will happily take your test if you do."
The two guards side eye each other as the assembled band surrounds them and starts asking more questions.
"It's not a competition, oh no!" One answers before recoiling from Travin's loud shout. They both take a moment to look surprised, collect themselves, then continue on.
"Yes, we are both knights." One says and nods his head while looking at Delphinium. "Yes yes, that we are. The test is simple. Yep! Very simple. All you must do is pick the correct gate to go through."
"It's that one!" One of them says as soon as Shavaris asks, then points to the gate guarded by the knight on the left.
Shavaris listens to the guards and wonders what they mean by pick the correct gate and as soon as the other one points and declares, she walks over to the knight on the left, "So you are guarding the gate to the castle? May we pass?"
Johnathan gives a look at the guards. Something wasn’t right here. What kind of test is going through a door? Unless…
Let me guess, one of these doors will lead to the castle, one will lead to our doom yes? So how are we suppose to know which door? What are the terms of this test? Are you both lying to trick us? Johnathan tries to think if he has ever heard this sort of test before.
History: 3
He hasn’t heard of this before. These guards must be simply be crazy.
Delphinium bobs up and down looking at both gates. They reply to Jonathan's question saying "Sometime people just like to help Johnathan." Then the fairy looks at the other gate and asks "So you said you guard the gate. Are you both guarding the other gate then? Oooo, where does the other gate go? Is it treasure? Or is it like magic portal that teleports you on the other side? Can we peek? Have you been inside it? Can we peek and then head to the castle? Oh! Do you need to guard us on the way to the castle? That would be helpful. This place is a maze after all. So are you guards and guides?"

Kerwyn stops doing push-ups, clapping between each one and stands up, looking at the gate keeepers. “Wait a minute. Not more of this crap. Can anything be straightforward in here? Which door leads to the shortest way to the castle? And where does the other door lead?” Kerwyn observes their interaction and words, tries to discern which guard is lying. He thinks I’m really getting tired of this place, I hope they don’t make me resort to stronger measures…

"We guard both the gates!" The Guard nods.
"I don't know! Just not to the castle!"
"I uh...maybe?"
"Could be! I just guard it! Never been through."
"No! No peeking! Peeking is too much like entering, and you may only enter one!"
"Nope, never been inside either!"
"Still no peeking!"
"Our sworn duty is to guard this gate! We can't guard you too!"
And then both guards look at Kerwyn.
"It's this gate!" The guard that had answered Shavaris says.
