Thallan counters the vermin's minor wound, striking down upon the creature with malevolence, (HD 17+6=23, Dam 6+6=12) effectively splitting the goblin in twain.
As the third goblin falls, Yeemik sees the tides turn against his favor and grabs Sildar, dragging him over to the edge of the upper ledge. If he were to let go, Sildar would fall. The goblin growls, "Truce or this human dies!"
Galben, it's now your turn; how would you like to proceed?
"Yeemik. I am OldMan. We apologize for the death our your friends but Klarg hired us to eliminate you as a possible threat to his leadership. We can now see that you are clearly smarter than that buffoon. We didn't really like our deal with Klarg so we'd be willing to negotiate. Would this human's life be worth saving yours and maybe you could be the next leader of this outpost of King Grol? Maybe we could even let King Grol know who's the goblin leader here. But be sure if that man falls you will never see the sun again. In fact I will ensure that your innards will be dumped on a rock outside to feed the crows. Your life depends on his."
Yeemik snears at you. "Klarg is bumbling idiot. If you wish to strike a truce, go kill Klarg and bring me his head. I will release this swine unharmed."
Coughing and barely audible, you hear Sildar say, "Don't trust this horrid creature! He will never never make good on his word."
Yeemik punches Sildar in the gut, "Shut your mouth!"
"As you saw I am a very powerful wizard. I killed one of your men with a simple spell. I will have no problem killing Klarg but Klarg has many guards and this will take time. I will go get the head of Klarg but before I go bring the human away from the ledge and tell your remaining soldiers to stand down as good faith. "
If Yeemik steps back from the ledge with the hostage I will go get the head of Klarg. Unless others think we need to take a different approach.
Ok Band of Brothers I need some input. I can go get Klarg's head easy peasy. How long do we want to pretend this takes? I am trying to convince Yeemik that Klar still has all of his body guards. I could spend an hour on a short rest and try to get a helpful spell back like feather fall for the hostage but that may be too long to keep everyone waiting. Or I just go get the head and try to use it to negotiate further and leave Yeemik in charge and alive.
My bad, I wrote the wrong name, which is why my instructions seemed so non-sensical. If Sildar falls, I can heal him so he doesn't die. So, just kill Yeemik and the goblins while I heal Sildar. Forget about Klarg's head and negotiations.
Yeemik growls and throws Sildar over the ledge, he falls to the ground, his head smacking against a rock. Blood immediately begins pouring from the wound and he does not appear to be conscious.
Goblin 4 rushes toward Galben with a battle cry, the scimitar slicing across Galben (14 to hit; success; 7 damage).
At the bottom of the order, Sildar makes a death saving throw; he succeeds (rolled a 2). He remains limp and unconscious on the cave floor.
Watching his negotiation fail, his companions taking damage, and Sildar take the great fall OldMan fills with rage. He focuses on those who have hurt those he's grown close to.
OldMan casts Firebolt at Goblin 2 (15+6=21 to hit, damage =7).
Raising his hands and speaking the ancient arcane language of spell casters, a bolt of fire flies out of his hands and catches the goblin off guard as he was preparing his next scimitar swing. As the goblin raises its sword arm the bolt of fire crashes into his unarmored side burning through his skin and plunging into his vital organs. He tries to cry out but the air in his lungs is fire itself. The beast collapses dead.
OldMan yells "Yeemik you have nothing to save you now. I will add your fingers to my collection! Prepare to meet your doom."
Goblin 2 was already dead, so that'll go toward Goblin 3, also now dead. Goblin 4 & Yeemik remain.
Regula rushes up the stairs, sword drawn, shield at the ready, and engages in melee combat with Yeemik. I make a clean strike against the goblin leader as he cries out in pain (22 to hit; 5 points of damage; 7 hp remain.)
Thallan deftly lunges up the stone stair, closing with Yeemik, plunging his steel blade into the greenskin, (HD 15+6=21, Dam 5+6=11) the goblin howling as the steel rends his flesh.

Jake mouths to OldMan "I've got Yeemik." Ready to cast Healing Word the second Yeemik is dropped.

That is what I was going to say. I'll take my turn and try to take out a goblin.
(Galben nocks an arrow and takes aim at goblin 4, letting the arrow fly, the goblin puts up its sword and blocks the attempt)
(Attack: 6+5=11: miss)
When Sildar hits hits the rocks below, Jake mutters an incantation(held action.)Sildar gets 9 points of healing.

Jake yells down to Sildar "Take up arms! Take my mace!" And tosses the mace down to him.
Jake pulls out his staff, swinging mightily at Yeemik. NAT 1! Jake snaps his quarterstaff in two. He is now the proud owner of two eighth-staffs.
Thallan deftly lunges up the stone stair, closing with Yeemik, plunging his steel blade into the greenskin, (HD 15+6=21, Dam 5+6=11) the goblin howling as the steel rends his flesh.
